To get this achievement, you must capture cargo, contraband or ejected pilots with your tractor beam after battles or from derelict cargo holds in asteroid fields and nebulas. To get a tractor beam, simply purchase one from one of the many stations.

Remember to use your scanner after ever kill and then deploy targeting mode when you see cargo, both of these functions can be found in the radial menu during space flight. Cargo will be small green icons (cargo and pilots) or yellow icons (contraband). You simply fly close enough to said object and press and hold to initiate the tractor beam. For the regular tractor beam you must be 1.2m from a target and 2.2m with an enhanced tractor beam.

It's also possible to win an enhanced tractor beam by playing Dice in the Tremonton station in the Utah system but you have to put down a 10,000 credit wager. You can save scum this by quitting to the dashboard if you lose and keep playing dice until you win if you're worried about losing credits.
