I needed to talk to shojo for a second time before giving him the rum. It doesn't work otherwise.

You need to talk to Shojo first in order to get the key to see Umbi, no?

@Gruber Hof: Yes, you do. This is a guide for how to give Rum to Shojo to get this achievement and not a full walkthrough on how to solve the game so I did not mention anything that happens before talking to Umbi.
