How to unlock the Bug Hunt achievement in Red Faction: Armageddon - Definitive Guide

There are 16 maps in total. The first 8 are unlocked immediately and are called the following:

Black Market
Trapped
Heretic
Extermination
Meltdown
Pressure
Dust to Dust
Harvest

The other 8 which are locked are simply 'DARK' versions of the maps above. To unlock each DARK version you have to complete 5 waves on the regular version. For example, if you complete 5 waves of Black Market you will unlock Black Market 'Dark'.
Therefore you will there be required to complete at least 48 waves (40 regular + 8 DARK) across all the maps for the Achievement to unlock.
They can be done either online with other players or offline solo or a mixture of both. They will all count towards the Achievement.

Difficulty level doesn't matter.

NOTE: If you haven't unlocked the DARK maps but have a friend that has then you can get the achievement by joining their game. Doing it this way you could theoretically get the achievement by just doing 1 wave on each map. Saving you quite a bit of time.

Was helped by hellrazor2016 today, 3rdMarch, with this one. Since he already unlocked the Dark versions of the maps, was quick just beating each wave. Helped a lot.

to get this achievement you will need to play 5 waves on each map to unlock the "DARK" version then play 1 wave on each of the unlocked maps and after you finish the first wave on the last map, you'll get the cheevo

The most annoying Infestation trophy requires you to finish one wave on each map. In order to do this however, you must complete at least 5 waves on each of the "day" maps. Once this is done, you will have unlocked the "night" versions of each map. Then all you have to do is complete 1 wave on each of the "night" maps.

Infestation contains 8 maps and then when you add the night maps in, it brings the total to 16. This requires a minimum of 48 waves to play through (40 waves for day maps, 8 waves for night maps).

Can be done in offline Infestation.

There are 16 Infestation maps to complete. You have access to 8 of these maps by default and will unlock the DARK variants of the maps by completing any 5 waves on the original level. So for instance on Black Market, you could complete waves 1 through 5, 10 through 15, or any 5 random waves and this would unlock Black Market DARK. Therefore you have to complete at least 5 waves for the initial 8 maps, then only 1 wave on the 8 DARK maps. Also, you don't have to play 5 waves on the original 8 maps, as you can play the DARK variants online in someone else's lobby. Thanks to CoolDust for mentioning this!

There are a total of 16 maps. Eight are available from the start the other eight are unlocked when you reach wave 5 on each of the 8 maps. There are 8 defend maps and 8 survive maps. Survive game mode has you surviving against waves and waves of bugs while defend mode has you doing the same as survive mode, but you have to keep a building from being destroyed as well. Simply reach wave 5 on the normal maps and just complete one wave on the dark maps and this will unlock.

You need to play 1 wave on each map. But the point is that you have to defend 5 waves on the immediately available ones, since only after that dark cards are revealed.
