How to unlock the Crusader achievement in Red Faction: Armageddon - Definitive Guide

While you are escorting the convoy, you have to defend an excavator while it digs a tunnel. Shortly after that you come to a bend in the road where an L.E.O. Exoskeleton is on the right hand side of the road. Hop into the LEO and use the machine gun to kill the enemies that are spawning from the pods located around the area. DO NOT SHOOT THE PODS and the enemies will keep spawning.

If you shoot the pods, restart the last checkpoint from the main menu and it will load up right before you get in the LEO. The kills carry over between restarts.

If you are careful not to shoot the pods, you can get this in about 10 minutes or less.

While this is not the only spot you can get this achievement, it was easy and not a grind, so I just got 'ur dun.

@Wallless Fury - When I hit that point in the game I thought it was a good time to get it, as you never know if you'll get another chance later in the game. Thanks for the tip.

better spot is after you repair the generator in that same level.

this solution tells you to spend time grinding instead of stating that it's easily gained through out normal gameplay.

@deluxnugs - Whatever, people have got the achievement and it has likes. You write your own version. If you see my solution as a grind at under 10 mins, kinda sad.

also you dont need to get all of the kills during the convoy escort, you can pick one up which going to the surface and one while you are defending the Faction when you make it up to the surface

* UPDATE: June 03, 2012 *

- About a week ago my computer crashed and I lost completely everything. I lost all of my Video Editing programs (I have them now), and all of my Edited, and Un-Edited versions of all of my Video Guides. So what this means is that, I cannot re-upload ANY of my Red Faction: Armageddon Achievement/Trophy Guide videos. That is why the links to all of my Video Guides for this game, on this website, are broken. I am very sorry for the Inconvenience =(

*All of my new Video Guides will be uploaded to my new Channel on Youtube: http://www.Youtube.com/WarzoneGuides

_________________________________________________________________________________________

* I did not have a Video Guide for this Achievement because you were almost forced to get this Achievement anyway. *

- On the third mission called "Road to Bastion" where you are escorting the Red Faction Convoy to help out Bastion. When you get pretty far into the level, you'll first come up to a Grind Lift or Tunnel Digger. You then press X to activate it, and now your job is to defend it from all the Aliens. Once your done that, you'll continue up the road where you get ambushed by a Flaming car. Then, continue up the road past the Billboard and on the right side will be a L.E.O. sitting on a platform. Once your inside it, kill everything around you, and before you step onto the Gondola with the Ambulance, just Reload the Checkpoint. Repeat this, and you'll get you 15G.

* This same tactic applies for the Following Achievement(s):

- Martian Drive-by: 12th Mission of the game where you are driving a Marauder Walker for the first time.

Missable.

You first get access to the L.E.O. exoskeleton in the chapter Road To Bastion. This trophy can easily be farmed, as you can simply kill all the aliens within the first section and reload the chapter, as all percentages gained towards trophies will count, regardless of whether you restart, die, or anything else. If you choose to do this, then it is advisable to try and kill 5 enemies with a shoulder bash attack in order to earn “Ooooh Yeah!”.

You will first be able to use the L.E.O suit on level 6:road to Bastion. You could boost the kills here by either letting the creepers keep spawning from their pods or by reloading the checkpoint as the kills carry over. You don't really need to boost this achievement though it should come naturally because you can pilot this suit again on level 11 where you go through the Red Faction HQ. To check your progress press > Extras > Player Stats > >Achievements and then find the achievement and it will have your current progress.

Throughout the game, you will come across such an exoskeleton 3 times; you will have to walk quite far on it except for the last one; the first time you sit in it, you can kill about 90-95 enemies without any problems; the second time, without any problems, you will reach 175 even more, enemies on you will go far more than you need to kill

You will be able to meet and climb into the LEO exoskeleton (robot suit, photo ) three times in one playthrough of the game.

1. Underground, accompanying the convoy.
2. In the sewer, looking for Kara.
3. On the surface, after destroying eight cocoons, protecting the red faction.

The first YELLOW exoskeleton is not LEO

If you intend to get the achievement for beating the game on Crazy difficulty , then you will have to beat the game TWO times, which will give you a chance to kill much more than 175 enemies while in the LEO exoskeleton

PS I personally played through the game three times:
• In my first tryout on Amateur difficulty, I saw LEO only once in the sewers, which I took advantage of, destroying about 90 enemies.
• In the second speedrun on Difficult difficulty, I, oddly enough , did not manage to meet LEO at all, most likely due to the fact that I was carried away by the idea of beating the game faster, and besides, endless rockets contributed to this.
• In the third speed playthrough on the Crazy difficulty, oddly enough, I managed to detect LEO all three times in the above-mentioned places, thanks to which, while in the LEO exoskeleton, I destroyed 260 enemies in three playthroughs.
