How to unlock the Nanergy! achievement in Red Faction: Armageddon - Definitive Guide

Here's a way to boost your salvage endlessly:

When you reach the point where you have to "Find your way out of the sewers" there's an area with both an upgrade and a weapons station. But most important a few steps ahead up a stairway there are a few square lamps at the ceiling.

Shooting them earns you salvage. Repairing the lamps and destroying them again gives you salvage again. You can repeat this as often as you wish. Doing so starts a rain of salvage giving you unlimited salvage plus the weapons station lets you refresh your ammo as often as you want. Don't use explosives though - they will permanently destroy the lamps (thanks to Tarzakul for the info).

Easy way to gather 25.000 salvage to unlock the achievement and to upgrade you character's abilities.

I found a video that shows you how it's done (credits go to foochy)

@ HiradC On my first playthrough I was able to buy every upgrade and still had a few thousand units of salvage in my pocket - I boosted a few thousand though and I was searching for salvage and collecting it everywhere. If your aim is to collect 25k in one (your first) playthrough I'd say you are not gonna make it (or barely make it). So why boost at all? The thing is, the sooner you get a high amount of salvage the sooner you can upgrade (on your first playthrough) plus every amount of salvage left at the end of the game can be used for your Game+ playthrough for buying amazing new weapons and cheats - and those are very expensive!

Yeah actually in hindsight for those going for 100% I'd recommend not bothering too much on first playthrough, wait for new game plus when playing on insane and buy the leo machine gun. This way you have infinite ammo so can farm salvage for as long as you have patience (most time spent normally is running back to refill on ammo).

Good solution, unthough it's undoubtedly effective I wonder how much salvage you get in the average playthrough as it was still quite time consuming.

Couple more tips, shoot specifically the light shown (aiming for the brown fuse) as it will blow up the adjacent light giving more salvage for your bullets. The repair has to be aimed slightly to the right to make sure it fixes the other light aswell and you get that lingering effect allowing you to get up to 7 shots from 1 repair.

Equip the assault rifle, pistols and banshee so you have to return for ammo less.
Don't use magnet gun either as if you remove the light fittings you can't repair them.

Can be earned in Infestation mode.

Salvage is the currency in Red Faction: Armageddon. It is used to purchase Upgrades and Cheats. It can be obtained by picking up piles of salvage (see “Salvager”), destroying structures and picking up the blue 'discs' of salvage, which are worth 3 points of salvage each, and completing waves in Infestation mode. Simply get a total of 25,000 salvage to get this. You don't need to have 25,000 in one go, so feel free to spend it as you like.

You can gather salvage by blowing up infected buildings, blowing up explosives/objects, collecting piles of salvage and killing enemies(After buying an upgrade). I recommend you buy Autopsy from the upgrade menu which allows you to get salvage for each enemy you kill as soon as possible. Piles of salvage give you 30-75 salvage each so check every corner for them. Please see the Salvager achievement for more info on these. You can easily get this achievement on your first playthrough if you check thoroughly for salvage piles and blow up infected buildings.

You also get a lot of salvage while playing the infestation game mode so don't worry if you don't get 25,000 after beating story mode. All the salvage you get from the infestation game mode can also be used to buy upgrades. To check your progress press > Extras > Player Stats > >Achievements and then find the achievement and it will have your current progress.

Trophies are the local currency in the game, they appear in the form of cans or light-colored disks, collect everything you find and see, in one playthrough I think it is possible to collect the required amount, at the moment I have completed the company by 52% and collected almost 14,000 , so it’s more than possible to complete it in one playthrough
