Edit: Apparently this has become bugged, reports show that this and The Written Word may not unlock. Only way to potentially fix this is to delete your saved from everywhere.

How to Get to Plant 42


Once Barry, if you did the steps in the tags above, kills the plant, the key is in the back of the room.

I didn't fight the plant, as I did the V-Jolt method, but if you choose not to, use Flame Rounds for the Grenade Launchet on the plants body, they do the most damage and should take it out in 3-4 direct hits, then again after it regrows in 2-3 direct hits.

This is downvoted why? The vjolt method makes you backtrack a little but you literally have to use no ammo to do it, saves a lot of hassle with the boss thanks to Barry. Guess they wanted to post the solution but you beat them to it, with more information, and they got mad.

Back to the basement, trolls. lol laugh

I'm in the exact same boat. I've almost beaten the game for the first time, but already used and discarded the key.

Same here ! i'll try the solution described here 3 achievements not unlocking (solved)


EDIT: Removing saves worked for me ! Juste a note: i wasnt able to remove the cloud save with the xbox's settings. I had to cancel the sync when loading the game

This is a Jill only storyline trophy. To earn this trophy you must defeat Plant 42 as Jill and then obtain the Helmet Key in its room. This fight happens in the Residence and can be completed either through firepower or use of the V-Jolt. You’ll earn this trophy once the boss is dead and you have the key.

This is obtained at the end of the Residence area, after Plant 42 is defeated. See "Herbicide" for details on creating V-Jolt and how to eliminate the plant. As Jill, you do not have to fight it at all as Barry will finish it off with a flamethrower. Pick up the key from the fireplace and the achievement should unlock.
