How to unlock the Archive Collector achievement in Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles - Definitive Guide

Archives are basically files with snippets of information about characters, the story, or enemies. There’s many Archive Files in every scenario; you’ll need to collect every one for the trophy. It’s your choice whether you want to get them in your first playthrough, or spend an extra one after your first solely to collect them. I’d recommend the first option, but it really is your choice. You will also need to collect all costumes, items, and enemy archives. Titles are required. Check out my guide here for further info.

First, play for fun and beat the game on Very hard difficulty with an "S" rank. A lot of archives fall off for fulfilling certain conditions, and you will make a lot of titles. When you finish with an "S" rank, for each mission you will see where and what you need to collect.

PS: the game will have to be completed on all difficulty levels, including Very easy.

As already written above, for this achievement, in addition to the files, you also need to open all the costumes and Titles (in-game achievements). A small educational program on some of the titles that caused me some confusion:
1. Thank You for Playing - “play 50 hours.” In reality, completing a complete requires a little less time - about 30-40 hours. The rest of the time can be completed by starting any level and pausing the game for a long time. The fact is that if you complete the level after this, then its final time will eliminate the downtime, which is why you might think that pausing has no effect, but this is not so! If you go to the very initial menu of the game and hover the cursor over your save, the total time played will be written under it - and this time takes into account the pause in the game. And yes, as soon as this total time exceeds 50 hours, the title will open.

2. Extreme Collector - "collect all archive files." A very confusing description. Despite the fact that it seems that this title should be opened after receiving dependent titles, such as: Character Collector, Enemy Collector, etc. - this is wrong. This title is only unlocked after you have obtained all other titles in the game. For example, in my case, the penultimate title was “play 50 hours” (I’m sure it will be the same for you), after which Extreme Collector immediately opened. In the Internet they write that sometimes this title does not open automatically when receiving all the other titles - it seems to be fixed by simply passing any level on any difficulty - at the end of Extreme Collector it opens.

3. Partner You Can Count On - “in 2P mode, your partner helped you 5 times.” The idea is that when you are grabbed by a zombie, you must fail the QTE, after which the QTE is transferred to your partner, and he must complete it. Again, the description of the title is confusing and is understood to mean that it is 1P (you) who must fail the QTE, and 2P (the partner) who must complete it. In fact, both cases count: when 1P fails and 2nd saves him, and vice versa. Just set Easy or Very Easy, leave 1-2 zombies in front of you, wait for capture and don’t yawn. I was able to take 1-2 such grabs in one level.
