Resistance 3

Journals are this game's form of collectables. There are 42 total which you must collect, and it can be tracked from the pause menu, or the extra's menu, under the "Journals" tab. They are hidden all throughout each level and provide bits of back story and information. The journals are split in to three types: Text, Audio, and Malikov. Any journals you may have missed can be found on subsequent playthroughs, or cleaned up via Chapter Select. Journals automatically save after picking one up, so feel free to quit to the menu after grabbing one. While playing Co-op, the host gets credit for journals found, the other player might not. The amount of journals in each region are:

Haven, OK: 7 (5 Text, 1 Audio, 1 Malikov)
St. Louis, MO: 12 (5 Text, 4 Audio, 3 Malikov)
Mt. Pleasant, PA: 8 (3 Text, 2 Audio, 3 Malikov)
Graterford, PA: 8 (7 Text, 0 Audio, 1 Malikov)
New York, NY: 7 (1 Text, 4 Audio, 2 Malikov)

Hey...Just a heads up for this trophy. I played the whole game co-op (online) and myself and my partner both received the trophy at the same time for collecting all journals. My partner was the host so I let him collect all the intel, never once did I pick one up.
