Resonance of Fate

Chapter 1 has the first boss fight of the game. The Tar Man has 317 HP and multiple armor plates on his body. He also does some devastating fire and physical attacks. There are also two Barrel Carriers and an oil well in the fight. The fight is in the hex of the dungeon with an internal white hex.

I recommend you start the battle by doing a heroic action towards the 2 carriers and kill them both while you are in midair. While jumping you should hit the explosive barrel and avoid any damage.

From there start positioning your party to hurt the Tar Man. Scratch damage and grenades are an effective combo. If you can damage his left arm he may need to refuel at the well. You can try destroying it or concentrating on him. The well has an HP of around 200, machine gun and pistol will do the job (I don't know if grenade is an instant kill for it). I recommend at least level 6 or 7 to take him on.

Once he is dead keep moving to finish your mission, there are no more fights ahead of you. You will have to fight your way back, but that should not pose a problem. If you have completed all of the jobs for the chapter, you should go to the next one to unlock the achievement.
