Extreme Spiker

Extreme Spiker

A trophy for performing over 100 Smackdown attacks.

19.5%

How to unlock the Extreme Spiker achievement in Resonance of Fate - Definitive Guide

There are more ways to deal extra damage than just a bonus hit. Perform 100 Smackdown hits.

An easy way to do this is attack an enemy with a Hero Action. Keep attacking them until they go airborne. When the enemy goes airborne jump in the air with your character. In order to hit an enemy with a Smackdown hit, your character has to be higher in the air then the enemy. When you hit the enemy with a Smackdown, it causes them to smack the ground and bounce back up into the air. Usually you can perform 2 to 3 Smackdowns per airborne Hero Action.

You can keep count of your Smackdown hits on the board next to the entry corner at the arena.

I hope this helps!

I don't mind a negative vote but at least put why, this guide is so easy to flow, you would have to be an idiot not to understand it.

Don't worry about it. There's always some idiot out there who down votes a good solution for no reason.

This achievement requires you to get 100 smackdown attacks.

A smackdown attack is when juggle the enemy in the air and jump so that your higher the enemy and attack so they hit the ground hard for extra damage and occasionaly a few low level item drops. This can be done with either handguns or machine guns. I vaguely remember doing it once with a grenade but cannot confirm this.

So to land smackdown attacks, first it must be during a hero action while running on the ground and an enemy is knocked into the air. While still running you have 2 options. Bonus shots or smackdown attacks. We want smackdowns so jump your character (X while running) and when your higher than the enemy in the air release your charged attack. They will smack down onto the ground and bounce back up. Depending on how much of the hero gauge you have left you can repeatedly smackdown 2-3 times on average.

Best place i found to to do this was the first fight in the arena. I did it with a machine gunner cause you cant kill only 'scratch them' but either works. So just run back and forth plotting hero actions and knocking them into the air and back down until you get it.

This is actually an easy achievement, i had 74 by chapter 7 before i decided i wanted the achievement NOW (lol) By playing through the game you will surely nab this and several others. Remember if you don't know how many you have the Game Records board inside the arena keep a track of this and several other stats for achievements.

see Bonus Hitter: only after you have sent the enemy flying you need to jump and shoot him in flight.

PS

In one Hero Action you can make several “Smackdowns”

In the process of obtaining the trophy, you can also get Bullet Barrage. For 1 Hero Action, the machine gunner, shooting in Macedonian style, calmly completed 4 Smackdowns. Without changing the character, continuing to do the same on one enemy, I easily knocked out 999 Hits. The main condition for quickly getting a trophy is to be higher than the enemy at any distance.

Addition: the “Smackdown” attack is initiated only if the character and the enemy are in the air (during Hero Action on the ground, we shoot at the enemy so that he flies up, and then jump), while the character must be higher than the enemy and not very far from him. A successfully executed "Smackdown" attack hits the opponent on the ground, causing him some damage and knocking out crafting parts, cages and other debris from him.
