This is a guide to using four controllers. I played with four and did not get it when I got tie breakers. Make sure you have a definite 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. You need to get first place and have no extra games at the end of the normal 3 mini games per section.This game will have two or three of the other players competing and not first place.

I've tested this theory a few times now.
Once having 4 human players but had mini games with a tie breaker. I think it sees this as a mini game 1st place does not win, even though 1st place does not even compete in it. So no achievement at the end.

If done correctly, The achievement will pop up after the last cut scene.

I found it easier with only 2 controllers and the AI set to easy. I went through the game and came in first. There was a were a few close calls but I was able to get it.

Just leave you 2nd controller alone and it will always take 4th place. While going through the game the AI will fight it out for 2nd and 3rd place.

The AI will tie in the final scoring screen screen, but as long as they do not tie during the mini games you will not have a problem. Play the games on easy and you will come in first place every time. Should only take you 2 hrs or so to complete.

I played as Blue to make sure that I could tell what color i am. Blue always stuck out to me. Any questions please ask.

Just to add to kellydee's guide - if you're doing this alone, CrazyJGerman noted on comments that can quit out of any game, and reload at the start of that 'area' of the story. Doing this, I played through 1 player on easy and quit out of two games I was losing, and popped achievement fine at end!

I got this on easy difficulty with NO sudden death tiebreakers. The sudden death tiebreaker rounds count as an additional mini-game so if you aren't in it you can't technically win it messing up the "Come 1st in all Mini-Games" even though you are in 1st in the rounds and level.

For me (with all multiplayer cheivos) I had 4 controllers and made sure the players got their respective places each time.

2nd and 3rd start as AIs while 4th was always inactive (guaranteed 4th place every time)

Once 3rd would get so many points (or 4th was eliminated) I would hit -Start- to drop the AI

Then Once 2nd surpassed 3rd and got so many points ahead (or 3rd was eliminated) I would hit -Start- to drop the AI

This guaranteed me coming in first every time as well as the others placing in the same order every time.

If something happens you can always quit out and it will erase your progress for that location so no harm no foul.

This method works great and takes no time...Keep in mind it is more for Point and marmoset elimination based games. Games like hockey/dodgeball/mud toss (where players eliminate each other instead of the marmosets) or time-based games (like the watermelon keep away game) it's actually better to drop all the AIs and eliminate everyone in order from 4th to 2nd place... Once you've played through the mini-games you should have a feel about which way works best for the games... of course, once you're 3/4 of the way done it doesn't matter as much who places where (as long as you're still 1st) since the point differences are so far apart from each other.
