How to unlock the Tricked Out achievement in Riptide GP2 - Definitive Guide

There are 4 stats you can upgrade to each jet and each stat has 4 levels. The starting jet is the cheapest to fully upgrade and it will cost a total of $100,000 to max it out. The four stats are boost, top speed, acceleration, and handling. Level 1 upgrades cost $1,000. Level 2 upgrades cost $3,000. Level 3 upgrades cost $6,000. Level 4 upgrades cost $15,000. Upgrade all 4 stats to level four and the achievement is yours.

Also, this achievement works with any jet, you will most likely upgrade the Manta fully at one point as this is the best jet in the game so if you want to wait and move on from the starting jet it does not matter, the other jets are just more expensive to upgrade.

Upgrades will be key to your success. You may want to do some basic upgrades to your starter vehicle, as they are very cheap.

There are 4 upgrades for each vehicle (Acceleration, Boost, Max Speed and Handling), and each upgrade has 4 levels, with the cost getting more expensive for each level. I found Handling to be one of the most useful upgrades.

The cheapest way to earn this trophy is to fully upgrade your starting vehicle. However, I would suggest saving your money to purchase Manta, then fully upgrading that vehicle as you will be using it exclusively later in the game. While this is the most expensive vehicle to upgrade, it is also the most useful, and money is pretty plentiful later in the game.

I was able to fully upgrade Manta and purchase 8 vehicles before reaching the final Cup.

Aside from the Manta you really have no reason to fully upgrade anything else. Only use the upgrades you need in order to progress as needed. Over spending will increase the amount of money you will need in order to finish the game. This may increase the time you have to spend grinding. You have 4 things to upgrade; Acceleration, Top Speed, Handling, and Boost.

  • Lv 1 - $1,000
  • Lv 2 - $3,000
  • Lv 3 - $6,000
  • Lv 4 - $15,000

So it costs $25,000 to fully upgrade one aspect of your hydro jet, making it $100,000 to fully upgrade 1.
