There are a few red barrels scattered around certain levels. This achievement is cumulative so any destroyed will add to your total, even if you fail a level and need to restart.
(I specify red, as shown in the achievement picture/description, as the grey radiation barrels don't count.)
In theory, dying and restarting on any level with red barrels will net you this.
I earned this on level 5 as my last cheevo, I simply ran around the area as there are quite a few barrels sitting out in the open near the red trucks.
The barrels do NOT need to explode for this to count. Just shooting them will count towards the total.
