How to unlock the Bleeding Fingers achievement in Rock Band 3 - Definitive Guide

Work In Progress: Details about song's solos.
Goal is in Guitar - Guitar Solo Goals. This can only be done on Guitar, and must be done on either Hard or Expert difficulty.
The following songs are the ones you have to do:
"Outer Space" by The Muffs
"Cold as Ice" by Foreigner
"Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple
"I Love Rock N' Roll" by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Only one after the second chorus, starts off with notes and then a chord, then plays around with a scale, and then runs down a scale of the guitar finishing with a chord.
"Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon
"Me Enamora" by Juanes
"Space Oddity" by David Bowie
"Everybody Wants to Rule the World"by Tears for Fears
"I Wanna Be Sedated" by Ramones
"Jerry Was a Racecar Driver" by Primus
"China Grove" by The Doobie Brothers
"Centerfold" by J. Geils Band
"Misery Business" by Paramore
"Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" by The Smiths
"I Need to Know" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
"The Killing Moon" by Echo & the Bunnymen
"Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen
"Foolin'" by Def Leppard
"King George" by Dover
"20th Century Toy" by T. Rex
"In the Meantime" by Spacehog
"The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News
"Crosstown Traffic" by The Experience
"Sister Christian" by Night Ranger
"Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake
"Beast and the Harlot" by Avenged Sevenfold
"Dead End Friends" by Them Crooked Vultures
"No One Knows" by Queens of the Stone Age
"Radar Love" by Golden Earring
"Been Caught Stealing" by Jane's Addiction
"Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne
Only one near the end of the song after two verses and choruses. Mostly very fast trills
"Caught in a Mosh" by Anthrax
"Roundabout" by Yes
"Rainbow in the Dark" by Dio
"Llama" by Phish
"25 or 6 to 4" by Chicago
"Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd
With the exception of Practice, it does not matter in which mode you do it in, or whether you are part of a band or not. If a song has more than one Guitar Solo (e.g. "25 or 6 to 4" has four solos) you only need to get 85% on ONE of the solos to have it 'ticked' in the goals menu.
This must be done on 5-button Guitar, not Pro-Guitar! Show-off...

only solo that I had a problem with was crazy train, especially at the beginning of the solo ... if you use the rock band guitar with the solo buttons, you can just mash them and you will get credit. you don't lose credit for hitting the wrong ones, you just get credit for using the right ones. the hard part at the beginning i just mashed all five buttons and got almost all, finished the solo with 97% after using this technique

The two solos i struggled on the most was Beast And The Harlot's arpeggioes at the end of the solo and crazy trains use of the trill lanes

Supplementing the list above, you only have to play the solos in the song. If you just want to sit through the beginning of the songs, you can. It only tracks when the highway turns blue and percentage comes up for solos. Also, once you beat ONE solo per song (that's all you need) you can just put the controller down until the song is over.

There are 37 songs with Guitar Solos in Rock Band 3. If the song has more than one solo, you only have to get 85% on one of them. I recommend doing this on Hard, unless you're very good on guitar.

You can follow your progress and play the songs in:

Career -> My Goals -> Guitar -> Guitar Solo Goals

This is a bit misleading as you don’t need to get 85% on every solo in the game, just 85% on a single guitar solo in each song that has one. If a song has multiple guitar solos, like Free Bird or 25 or 6 to 4, you only need to get 85% on one of the solos, not all of them. Some will be easy on Expert, but others may require you to go down to Hard. You can check which songs you still have left in Career Goals under Guitar > Guitar Solo Goals > Guitar Solo Master.
