I was just going to post this. If you can't get this on this song, hang up your plastic guitar.

I always play on easy, have maybe played 5 songs in my life on medium even...and this achievement was extremely easy to get on Imagine, thanks! (I did it on hard though)

If anybody is having problems, just remember that you don't have to hold the sustained notes, you can just let go as soon as you strum and prep your fingers for the next note.

I normally play medium across the board regardless of song or how difficult it is (guitar and bass), but...

I did this on EXPERT only strumming up, but WITHOUT strumming the hammer-ons and pull-offs (which there are only a few and far in between).

If you do this on expert without strumming the hammer-ons and pull-offs, you will unlock some other goals (something that was added as an addition to achievements) at the same time. This will help you rank up faster in the game (if you care about that).

Great solution. It didn't pop on hard for me though, only on expert, but it might have been because I strummed on the hammer-ons on hard.

Another reason to love this song... And yes, Imagine is very very easy. Even if you are a mediocre Rock Band player (like myself), you can get it on your first try (like myself).

good solution, on a side note I hate up strumming. Down strumming hard/expert on this game isn't so bad ,but up strumming makes me act like I'm a noob.

I don't mind up strumming, just as long its on a good enough controller, the Xplorer from GH2 bundles is almost impossible to get with out over strumming the note after.

People with Guitar Hero guitars may have issues with this achievement. If you have a GH guitar and can't get 100% upstrums, use the up button on the guitar's D-pad. That's how I got mine to work.

I had an issue with a GHWT guitar and a Gretsch. Frustrating stuff. Glad you mention the D-Pad or I'd still be grousing over not having this one!

I tried upstrumming with the dpad like you suggested, but that didn't work either; I only got 90% upstrums.

If you have imported the songs from RB2, then "So Whatcha Want" (sp?) by the Beastie Boys is so easy on expert it should be against the law. Just keep a finger on green the whole time, and don't move it. The song has a regular beat of 2 green notes. That's it except for 1 note section about 2/3 through the song, there are 2 single green notes. I was able to gold star this song on expert, and I am only a medium player.

**Edit: Video added, Even though the video is for the RB2 playing of the song, it still works the same. Credit for the video goes to the poster for the video

The easiest song to get this achievement with that is already in Rock Band 3 is Imagine. You will also most likely unlock over 1 million fans.

I actually did this achievement on Du Hast on expert. It's a fairly simple song, even on bass, very few, if any, hammer on's and pull-offs, you mainly just keep the beat that' easy enough. I actually grow, not tiresome, but bored of playing some songs that I lose track of rhythm and mess up. Though, with Du Hast I was head banging and staying on track. Though other songs are most likely easier, this was the song I got this achievement on, good luck.

I chose one of my favorite songs to attempt this achievement: "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure. On Hard difficulty, the notes follow a fairly simple pattern (so easy that I've actually learned to play this song on a real bass -- and I'm no musician!). The rhythm is a 1-2-3/4... 1-2-3-4/5 pattern. The notes follow a yellow-green-blue-orange pattern: 4 yellow... 5 green... 4 blue... 5 orange for the bulk of the song. There are two parts (choruses?) where you'll change the pattern ever so slightly by incorporating red and by playing a bit more orange, but that's it for irregularities. If you know the song and like the song, give it a whirl. I am a medium bass player on rock band.
ps. I also unlocked bass streaker while getting this achievement.

I found these to be the easiest. The Hardest Button to Button - The White Stripes and Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz
Got 100% on Expert on Clint Eastwood (It hasn't unlocked for me yet cause I'm using a GH Guitar)

I have another easy song for this one. I just got this on the DLC song "something in the way" by Nirvana. On hard bass this song is really easy. it's mostly just long single notes and 2 sections with no bass. So play the song on hard difficulty and only stum upwards through the whole song to get the achievement to pop.

Also, as a note, Make sure you are on "HARD" difficulty. I attempted this on Expert bass first and the achievement did not unlock!! So I put it down to hard and it unlocked right after I completed it.

Just pick a low tier song on Hard or Expert Bass and try to hit all of the notes without making a mistake. Don't forget to only strum up.

Tip: The easiest on-disc song is "Imagine."

This achievement is mildly glitchy. Some people have met the requirements and have not gotten it. Also, you can get this on Expert but instead you must play all the hammers without strumming since that is the Expert equivalent of the goal. Walking on the Sun seems to be the easiest on Expert, though So Watcha Want by the Beastie Boys (RB2) remains the easiest bass song in the catalogue as it is only green notes. If you are having trouble with upstrumming, turn on lefty flip for the Beastie Boys song and just down strum.
