Rock of Ages

It takes a while to unlock the boats in the story line and will not happen untill after you have defeated the 3rd boss.

The quickest way, like many in this game, is to start a 2 player split screen game on the level Madrid. From here get the 2nd player to keep placing boats near the start down the track and far enough apart to give you a run up at them if you miss.
From here all you need to do is launch (Equip the wings for a boost if you want) and then go down the path and jump at them.
If you do miss restart the level and try again.

Once the flying ships are unlocked later in the campaign, all you have to do is get your rock under one. Then bounce up and down a few times and it will be destroyed. Simple as that!
