How to unlock the Troublemaker achievement in Rock of Ages - Definitive Guide

You do NOT need the second person to do anything in order for you to keep selecting the map! As long as you're the host, you can keep restarting the map, so your boosting partner can go eat lunch while you win your ten games. Full instructions:

- Find someone on the boost list above if you need a partner
- If you're going for the achievement first, YOU be the host. Choose "create a lobby" and invite your friend.
- Pick the Sparta map. Your friend can go do something else, as long as their xbox is on. They may want to plug in their controller just in case; I'm not sure what would happen if their wireless controller turned off. [EDIT: "Ichiban Noob" says nothing happens.]
- Use the path I show in the video below (sorry for bad quality).
- After you break down the door and kill the guy, just hit A a couple times to start the map again.
- Repeat 10 times.

It takes about 3.5 minutes for each round (three "rolls" to break down the door). If you take a slower path, it will be about 4 minutes. Ten games means it'll take ~40 minutes to complete this for each person, depending on load times and how fast you start. Remember to let your partner get his/her achievement too!

It seems that only wins as a host count towards the achievement.

Upvote from me as the only solution that states you can invite people, and don't have to find by conventional searching.

The controller turning off doesn't effect anything.

Old game, but I can confirm that you do not have to be the host to get this achievement

Play on the Sparta map.

If you're keeping an eye on when it's time to roll it'll take you and your partner just under 4 minutes each time to complete a game on this map.

After the match you stay in the same lobby and it takes just 10-15 seconds including loading time to get another match going.

This is a relatively quick boost.

If you haven't got them already legit or in local multiplayer, boosting this is also a great time to get these following achievements:

Rock of AgesCockyThe Cocky achievement in Rock of Ages worth 24 pointsWin a match without destroying any of your adversary's units.

Rock of AgesFlawless VictoryThe Flawless Victory achievement in Rock of Ages worth 26 pointsWin a match with your gate unscathed.

Rock of AgesEagle EyeThe Eagle Eye achievement in Rock of Ages worth 24 pointsScore a direct hit on an enemy boulder with the Castlepult.

Rock of AgesProsperousThe Prosperous achievement in Rock of Ages worth 27 pointsEarn more than 7000 gold in one match.

It takes roughly 2hrs for two players getting it at the same time. Quitting does not count, as well as disconnection. The winner should be the host, to rule out any chances of being sent to the menu.

To bad there's no one playing this unique game.

You may want to note this. I'm almost certain it has to be 10 wins consecutively. Just how it worked for me.

It doesn't have to be 10 wins consecutively. Me and my buddy decided to pull this achievement off around xmas times, and we took turns winning, in other words; I won every other game, and lost the games between.

Achievement popped after about 1 and a half hour on sparta, a total of 20 games, no disconnection, and two satisfied gamers :):)

At launch the online was broken but now, thanks to the latest patch, it has been repaired and this trophy is now obtainable for anyone out there willing to get it. Suffice to say, patch the game to the latest version if prompted.

That isn't to say it'll be easy. Your best bet will be to boost with someone else who wants the trophy, or a buddy willing to help, and get 10 online wins. There are two major caveats to this, however:

1. You need to have 10 straight online wins to make this one count. Do not quit to the XMB, do not quit the lobby, and do not let the other person win at all.

2. Be the host player if you're going for the trophy. Some players say this isn't necessary but, to be safe, be the host.

Now that this has been said, all you need to do is set up a private lobby, invite your boosting pal/friend, and play 10 winning games in a row. Playing on the first mission (which I believe is Sparta), this will take around 4-5 minutes per round using 3 rocks/balls to shatter your enemy's gate. If you are the other player just keep your controller on so you don't need to worry about getting knocked out. Switch after you get 10 online match wins, and your trophy, if needed.

Other things to note is that this trophy can be done on a local network with two PS3s regardless of patch status and the non-hosting player does not need to press any buttons once the match is over; the hosting player ends the match. On the latter, I almost quit a boosting session as the non-host player when I tried to move to the next match once one had ended: to be safe, don't press anything.

This is an annoying trophy mainly due to the online matchmaking, regional issues, and the time required to just wait. If you find any problems with how to get about this, or with this solution, please let me know and I'll do my best to correct the information. I had no problems getting the trophy with someone in another region running a NA version of the game but that doesn't mean you won't have them.

Good luck to all and happy hunting!

I've read that when you try enough times you might be able to get a game or create one but you need 10 straight wins in a row without leaving. I also read that it can be just 10 total wins, either way the trophy is very hard to get because of the horrible online. If you have 2 ps3s, then you can invite the other profile into your game and there's a very high chance it'll join but I find this method to be impractical as not many people have a 2nd ps3 laying around.
