How to unlock the A Strong Constitution achievement in Rogue Galaxy - Definitive Guide
The earliest chapter you can obtain this trophy: Post-Game
This trophy is for reaching level 99 with any character. The character that you'll end up reaching level 99 with will most likely be Jaster because he's always in the party, so chances are you're using him as your main fighter. In order to reach level 99, you'll need a ton of experience from battles. After defeating all the enemies or defeating a boss, your characters and equipment will gain EXP (experience) along with Zehn and items that can be dropped from defeated enemies. Things to note about EXP is that the party members in the current party will get the full EXP received from the battle and everyone else who wasn't in the battle will get roughly about 2/3 of the EXP earned. Additionally, there are different types of enemies that you can encounter depending what location you're at. You may have to fight enemies that require you to do a specific action first before you can damage them, such as jumping on them, or destroying their shield with a charged attack. It’s also possible that your CPU allies will do these actions for you but usually you're the one who needs to do it, especially if you're going to farm to level 99 during your post-game leveling. Below are all the four special types of enemies that you can randomly encounter:
- Giants: These are enemies that can only take damage to a specific part of their body, which is their head. Giants are large enemies, but they’re also extremely slow. You can only damage these types by doing jumping slashes. You jump with and then slash with . Jumping slashes can also knock them over allowing you to damage their head while they're knocked over.
- Shield: These are enemies that can only be damage after using charged attacks (or an ability that enables your weapon to have Guard Break). Hitting an enemy with a charge attack will break the shield icon above their head. You hold to execute a charge attack and then release it once you're close enough to the enemy who's shield you want to break.
- Bounce: These are rare enemies that you'll usually encounter only on Juraika and Alistia. These enemies cannot be defeated using normal fighting strategies. This is because you have to jump up and bounce off of them at least once and they'll open up their bodies enabling you to deal damage to them.
- Barrier: These are the worst type of enemies you can randomly encounter. These are enemies that are protected by barriers that render your attacks ineffective. This means you'll need to always open up the menu to change to Jaster's Barrier Break Shot and shoot them with at least once to break their barriers. After breaking their barriers, you can switch back to your main blaster Subweapon again or defeat the enemies as you normally would with your main weapon or abilities.
With the above enemy types in mind, the best place to level up is of course waiting until you have completed the game. After completing the game, you'll want to conquer the Ghost Ship in order to unlock the Ghost Ship Extreme. The Ghost Ship Extreme, as mentioned in the roadmap, has one hundred randomly generated floors, and contains the most difficult enemies and bosses in the game, so it's the perfect opportunity for leveling up to level 99. But what is the best floor to farm levels if they're all randomly generated? The best floor for leveling to level 99 is Floor Number 64. Why? This is the best floor because of the following reasons:
- EXP here various from 2500-5100 on this floor.
- There is a Transporter that you can use to heal, save, or store items.
- You can 1 hit kill enemies using Jaster's Supernova Lv3. Only the Death Round enemies will live through a Supernova, so follow up with Kisala's Angel's Kiss Lv3 to finish them off.
- There are Shield type enemies on this floor that are Gorillas; however, they have extremely low encounter ratings. They're also slow and not an issue to kill even if you do encounter them.
- There are no Giants/Bounce/Barrier special types of enemies on this floor.
So, in other words, get to floor 64 and farm here. You'll gain about 3 levels for every 1 hour that passes. This is assuming you're over level 65+ because all the EXP needed to reach the next level at this point is always 99,999 EXP needed. Last of all, but not least, if you don't have the trophy for obtaining all Seven-Star Swords, it is highly recommend that you upgrade all legendary Seven-Star Swords to their final form while you’re grinding to level 99. To do this, please see Keeper of the Blades for more information.
