How to unlock the Factory Worker achievement in Rogue Galaxy - Definitive Guide

As you go through the game, watch for people with yellow bubbles over their heads. When you speak to these people, you will receive "recipes" for factory blueprints. Sometimes, you'll have to speak to two different people to get the whole recipe. Once you complete Chapter Five (the hacker in the factory), the factory will become available for your use. I've written description on how to use the factory here.

If you're missing any blueprints, you can find locations here. I take no credit for the faq.

The earliest chapter you can obtain this trophy: Chapter Eleven

This trophy is awarded for successfully completing all 36 blueprints in the Factory. The Factory first becomes available after completing Chapter Five. To access it, enter the menu by pressing , and selecting “Factory”. Throughout your travels across the galaxy, you will encounter NPCs with orange orbs beside their names. These NPCs give out blueprint ideas, which can then be used in the Factory as a guide to creating new items. Once you have the idea for a blueprint, as well as the necessary components to manufacture the item, you can begin the item creation process.

The first thing to know is that there are five different types of materials - Metal, Mecha, Circuit, Gem, and Alchemy - and there are corresponding processing machines that these materials must go through before first being able to be assembled on the assembly line. Every material must first begin on a Source Table. Then, the materials must first go through the processing machines before entering the Assembler. If the processed materials enter the Assembler at the same time, they will combine to form a new item. Then, this new item must make its way to a Completion Table so that you can collect it, and complete the blueprint. More importantly, however, is that for the assembly line to work, every machine must be plugged into a power source using power cords.

In short, the flow of events is as follows:

  1. The required materials begin on Source Tables.
  2. All machines on the assembly line must be plugged in using power cords.
  3. The materials must be processed in special machines based on what category they fall into.
  4. The processed materials must enter the Assembler machine, or machines, at the same time in order to successfully combine into a new item.
  5. The newly formed item must be collected onto a Completion Table at the end of the assembly line.

The five categories of materials, as well as their corresponding processing machines, are as follows:

  1. Metal - Smelter, Form Presser, and Cooling Fan
    - The machines must be in this order, and the fan must be pointing at the first tube leaving the Form Presser.
  2. Mecha: Disassembler
  3. Circuit: Washer
  4. Gem: Grinder
  5. Alchemy: Athanator

Do note, however, that the Athanator must first be created in the Factory before being able to use it on the assembly line. The blueprint for it, Magical smelter, is a default blueprint that is available from the beginning, and the materials required to manufacture is are 1 Space Compressor, and 1 Moebius Battery. Once you have successfully completed the Athanator, a new blueprint will appear in your list, the Ultra-useful assembler. This simple blueprint, which requires 2 O3 CPUs and 3 Chaos Chips as materials, is used to create the Assembler III. It is used in some blueprints to combine three different processed materials together. Once you have manufactured both the Athanator and the Assembler III, you will have all tools and machines required to complete all 36 blueprints.

The materials required to complete the blueprints can be bought from shops throughout the galaxy, with most being available in the shops on the East and West Sides of Zerard, as well as in the shop in Dr. Poccachio’s office in the Factory proper. Be advised that items become available in unlimited quantities in shops beginning in Chapter Thirteen, so if you are having a difficult time finding certain materials and they are all sold out of the shops, you will be able to purchase as many as you want beginning in the final chapter of the game.

For a list of all NPCs required to speak to in order to get all blueprints, as well as their locations, consult poisson’s Factory FAQ on GameFAQs.

For a visual guide on how to construct every assembly line for every blueprint, consult the Factory Items page on the Rogue Galaxy Wiki.

The factory becomes accessible only after completing the fifth chapter.
Below is a list of where to look for this or that drawing and the amount of ingredients.
Follow this link to find all collection schemes.
And here is a list of all materials and their location.
I'll give you some advice. Start to be puzzled by the factory in the post game. Because then you will have all the necessary material, and what is missing, you can easily buy in the store. All the diagrams provided in the link are working. If you write that something is not correct, check the diagram, most likely you made a mistake somewhere, I made that mistake a couple of times.

And first of all, create Maid Robot Betty and Athanor , then Assembler III will open, otherwise you will not create anything in the factory.

We talk during the game with local NPCs, they will give these drawings. Next, at a certain stage of the game, we will have access to the factory, where we can collect items from them. The assembly itself represents a kind of small puzzles of different levels of complexity, but essentially you just need to understand the work of this very factory, what’s what. You can basically just stupidly follow the diagrams on the Internet. Another trophy that is long and tedious, especially if there are not enough materials.
