How to unlock the Nimble Fingers achievement in Rogue Galaxy - Definitive Guide
The earliest chapter you can obtain this trophy: Chapter One - After killing the Mark VIII Salamander, a chest appears near the church that is rigged with a Curse Trap.
This is for disarming a trap set on a treasure chest. In Rogue Galaxy, you'll spend a lot of time in a cities, planets, and dungeons looking for treasure chests that contain useful items. When you find a treasure chest, you can simply walk up to them and open them by using the button. However, there are some chests that are trapped. When a treasure chest is rigged with a trap, you'll have to try and guess what kind of trap it is and select the correct choice for the trapped chest. Below are the choices that you can select to disarm the trap:
- Defuse bomb trap
- Nullify cursed trap
- Untangle thief's trap
- Forget about it!
With the above choices ignoring the "forget about it!" one there is a 1/3 chance of you picking the right answer. If you pick the wrong disarm, you'll suffer from an effect within the trapped chest. These effects are things like the following effects:
- Your party's HP being reduced to 1
- Your party's AP being reduced to 0
- You lost some Zehn
There really isn't a way to tell which kind of trap is on a rigged treasure chest, but chances are you'll end up guessing it right or you can use a walkthrough that has all the answers to chest locations. Additionally, you can save your game before approaching a rigged chest with a trap and then pick the right answer from your previously wrong answer choice. Once you've successfully disarmed a trap chest the trophy will unlock.
One final thing to note is that there is an item called a "Trap Canceller" that can be made from the Factory. This is a useful tool that can disarm traps placed on treasure chests with 100% accuracy. Using this item should also unlock the trophy for you as well, but you won't get this item until you're much further into the game and it can only be created using the Factory. See Factory Worker for more information.
The simplest and easiest way to get this trophy is in Chapter 4. According to the plot, you need to go renew your license, the very beginning of the chapter. We reach the place where the arrow points, we see a save point and a chest. We save and open the chest. If the trap works, we boot up and choose another answer option. I had the 3rd choice option on this chest.
