Chapter Six - The Guide

Objectives to complete this chapter:

1. Head to the ship’s deck, and then head back inside.
2. Take the train to the North Myna Station and save Burton from the Morarty Clan members.
3. Make your way to Angela’s Bar.
4. Re-enter Angela’s Bar and open the treasure chest containing the Star Key.
5. Buy the Mine ID Card from the Item Shop Corbis for 1500 Zehn.
6. Return to Angela’s Bar.
7. Head to South Myna Station and take the train headed towards Rockbelter Mine.
8. Make your way to the Excavation Site.

11. Return to Angela’s Bar.
12. Go to North Myna Station.

Boss Fight Strategy: Early Model Drill Rig
 

In order to attack the Early Model Drill Rig, you must first dispose of both of its arms. Apply your party’s strongest buffs, such as Jaster’s Illusion Sword, Kisala’s Dagger Slash and Deego’s Top Dog, and attack the arms by jumping and attacking. The Early Model Drill Rig is weak against lightning, so using Jaster’s Flash Sword ability may be more powerful than Illusion Sword, especially if it is at Lv2. It may be smart to attack the left arm first, because its attacks can cause Shock status against your characters. Once both arms are taken care of, the Early Model Drill Rig can be attacked directly, once again by jumping and attacking. Make sure to keep your characters’ HP up, especially Deego’s, and you will destroy the Early Model Drill Rig before long.

Boss Fight Strategy: Gale
 

You must now face Gale with just Deego. The most important part of this battle is keeping Deego alive by constantly blocking with , because Gale can defeat Deego quickly with a barrage of bullets if you are not blocking, and if you get a game over, you must defeat the Early Model Drill Rig again in order to get another chance to take on Gale.

There are two methods for defeating Gale. The first method consists of using the Top Dog buff on Deego and attacking Gale directly. Make sure to always be blocking when you are not attacking Gale. Do not be overconfident. Only attack Gale when he is running, reloading his gun, or taunting. If you attack Gale and send him flying back, you will have enough time to attack him a second time, but block immediately after your second attack, as he will attack you quickly afterwards. When Gale reloads his gun, you should have enough time to execute a full combo on him. Again, do not be overconfident. Always block when you are not attacking, only attack when you have an opening, re-apply the Top Dog buff when it wears off, and always heal when you suffer damage. Remember to heal as needed and you’ll eventually emerge victorious.

The second method involves always blocking, and constantly using the Wonder Howl ability to damage Gale. The ability does not cause much damage to Gale, but it is the safest method as you should always be blocking. This method, however, requires a lot of Recharge Drinks in order to constantly refill Deego’s AP. If you choose to use this method, make sure you buy as many Recharge Drinks, Tri-Charges, and even Elixirs as you can to ensure Deego always has enough AP to use Wonder Howl.
