Impact tackles happen at random when tackling opposing players. You know you have successfully executed an impact tackle when the camera gives you a slow motion close up of the tackle.
Although they appear at random, here are some tips to increase the likelihood of them occurring during your games.
Begin either your NRL or SL season with high tackles set to "off".
During your games only use the (Y) button to perform aggressive tackles. Also, try to tackle opponents from front on.
It has been suggested that your the first match you play after starting the game result in a higher number of impact tackles. Although I have not confirmed this, try exiting to the dashboard after each game if you wish to test this theory.
Following these tips will assist in unlocking this achievement quicker.

Impact Tackles are all about luck. When on defence and infront of the opponent, press 
to Aggressive Tackle. If you are lucky, the camera will zoom in and slow down, showing the tackle. This is an Impact Tackle. Perform 50 to recieve the trophy.
The game seems to be bugged and only gives Impact Tackles on the first game from when you start Rugby League Live. So, start Rugby League Live and launch a Quick Match. Play the game and you should get 1-4 Impact Tackles. Now, quit the game and rinse and repeat.
