How to unlock the Love/Hate Relationship achievement in Saints Row: The Third Remastered - Definitive Guide
Approach any gang member (Morning Star, Luchadore or Decker) and simply press left or right on the D-pad to taunt or compliment them. You can only do this once per person, you cannot just taunt the same member over and over again
I recommend two things for this achievement.
1) Make sure you do this achievement BEFORE completing the majority of the city takeover activities. If you completely take over the city for the Saints, gang members no long spawn, making this achievement very difficult
2) It makes sense to only taunt the gang members (left on the D-pad) as there is a separate challenge within the Saints book in the game to taunt 50 gang members, and there is another achievement for completing all the challenges

On the original SRTT, you could taunt/compliment your own gang members to unlock this. Apparently, it still works here. Could come in handy.

Can confirm that complimenting/taunting the Saints does work.

NOTE Incase you don't know how to taunt, it is left on the D-Pad. Compliment is right on D-Pad.
Now, a quick and easy way to do this is to go to a gang operation (hopefully you haven't done them all at the time you're reading this. Sorry if you have) and taunt as many gang members as you can and just simply drive or run far enough away from it so they despawn and then go back so it resets. Rinse and repeat until you have it. You should average around 7 or more per time you do this if you're lucky. I got this achievement in about 5-10 min doing this. Good luck!

Try to obtain this trophy (or at least the taunts, which also completes a challenge) before taking over every district. Just like with a few other trophies/challenges, it can become tough to complete this afterwards.
Walk up to a Saints member and press to compliment them. You can find most Saints members at/in one of your cribs.
Taunting seems to be glitchy. You need to taunt rival gang members that are in a none hostile state.
You can taunt them by pressing . They will attack you afterwards. Before you can taunt any other gang member, you need to get your notoriety down, else they will instantly attack you when they see you.
A quick way to get the 50 taunts, it to get a gang notoriety of 3-5 stars. Get to a store or crib and enter it. It will get rid of the notoriety. Now leave the store and taunt a gang member. When they start to attack, simply enter the store again and repeat. You can't taunt the same gang member every time though.
If you already took over every district, replay a snatch mission and get a notoriety of at least 3 stars. Then press and quit the mission. All the rival gang members and their cars should still be there. Kill them to get your notoriety back. Now drive to the nearest crib/store you own and use the same tactic as described above. A few assassinations/theft and Survival calls will also require you to kill gang members, which causes notoriety. You can also join a co-op game where (not all) the districts have been taken over.
A different not so fast tactic, is to find gang members walking the street. Taunt them and run away until you can't see the gang members red dots on your minimap. You'll lose your notoriety. Now search for more gang members and do exactly the same. This is however, very time consuming as you can only taunt 1, of if you're lucky 2, gang members because of the notoriety. If 2 walk side by side, aim so that you can taunt both by pressing once. If they taunt you, quickly taunt them back and taunt a second gang member, since it will take a few seconds for the notoriety to appear this way.

If you obtain this trophy, please check the challenges, because there's one that requires you to taunt 50 gang members AND compliment 50, because you may obtain this trophy before actually having the required amount of taunts/compliments given. You can compliment your own Saints, but taunting requires rival gang members, which becomes harder if you take over every district.

To taunt or compliment, push or respectively. You can taunt your own gang members, but it will only count towards the achievement not the challenge. You can go into the Saint's HQ, taunt everyone, go upstairs to the bar area and head back downstairs so everyone is different. You cannot repeatedly taunt the same gang members so you need to keep finding different ones.

You can do this with pink stars (wanted level), but you can’t kill those you LAUGHED at, otherwise the counter will go wrong.
I did it this way: I approached the gang’s operation (fist on a pink background) and, without touching anyone, ran between them and pressed the cross to the left, when in the upper right corner it was no longer written on me - “mockery” I ran away for 2-3 blocks and came back again taunted and thus in 4-5 walks you can get a trophy!

It’s even easier to say it to your own people, especially if a city or district is captured, they wander everywhere. During the entire game I didn’t say anything to anyone, and after completing the game I ran for ten minutes around the district back and forth (so that the new ones would leave) and the trophy jingled.

Attention : try to complete this task (also a sub-task in the You're My Hero! trophy / You are my hero!) before capturing all of Steelport. Otherwise, you will have to set the difficulty to Hardcore/look for a player online with an unfinished career.
There are difficulties - you have to tease the bandit (sometimes you get two) with the left D-pad button when you are not being pursued (there are no pink stars above the map). After successful completion, they start chasing you. Immediately run to a safe house/workshop/boutique/Friendly_Fire to reset the notoriety and repeat the mechanism. The trophy described above takes into account praise (right D-pad button) and slander.

You can do this:
1.gain the wanted level of gangs
2. go to any of your stores
3. go to the store - there is no search
4. leave the store, make a taunt and go back to the store

To understand whether they made a mockery, if a successful attempt is made, a panel (circle) of a combo with the inscription mockery will appear on the side, and then they will chase you.
And don’t go near the bandits if you have police wanted stars, they will simply take a fighting position. It is necessary to make ridicule in “peaceful” times.
