Carsejaw the Cruel is located at The Pitchwoods, after a jumping sequence, to the far right of the area. If you have problems with it, you should watch the following video:

This boss' attacks are based on physical damage, and he is weak against fire and strike. Avoid using slash and poison, as those are his strengths. Carsejaw the Cruel is not a particularly strong boss. The boss battle has two stages.

This battle is optional, as you do not have to fight him to get to the final boss of the game.

During the first stage, he will perform:

• Stab/Slash Combo – The boss will stab forward with his hidden sword, which can be followed by another stab and a downwards slash attack. He can change the direction of his attacks, so beware.
• Downwards Stab – The boss will perform a downwards stab with his sword. Roll through him and attack his back.
• Sword Summon – When he throws his hands onto the air, swords will be summoned at the ground around you. You can see where they will be spawned due to black marks on the ground. Run away from it to avoid being hit.
• Teleport – The boss can teleport a short distance to get closer to you.

During the second stage, a new combo is added to his move set:

• Downwards Stab Combo – The boss will perform three downwards stabs in a row. He will teleport closer to you during it, making it hard to dodge. Try to block this, as rolling might be ineffective.
