How to unlock the Full Roster achievement in Samurai Shodown VI - Definitive Guide

Go to options and make sure your settings are as follows:

Game Level: 1
Game Time: Infinity
Damage Level: 200 (Optional, up to your discretion)
Spirits 1P: Infinity

There are a total of 47 characters in the game, each Arcade Mode run will take approximately 10 minutes assuming you don't have to redo any fights (that adds up to about 8 hours to obtain this trophy): but that is more than likely given the difficulty of the game. The main issue with the Arcade mode is that regardless of what you set the difficulty to in the beginning, as you get near the final levels of the mode up into the final boss: the game will adjust the difficulty of the AI to the point where they essentially read a good amount of your inputs and block nearly every attack you do. The final boss has full on "SNK Boss Syndrome", dealing twice the amount of damage to you and halving the damage you deal to him: while having attacks such as a fullscreen teleport, fire that covers half the screen, and a super that is air unblockable. He is very difficult to beat, and at times it will take sheer luck just to beat him with certain characters.

That being said, you have a few options to make this easier. Firstly, you can take a gamble with adjusting the Damage Level. If you raise it to above 100 you'll deal a lot more damage to the opponent but they'll also deal that same enhanced damage value to you. Again, not a problem in the earlier stages where you'd be able to fly through, but when you fight the final boss he can nearly two shot you if the damage level is set to 200. On the other hand, if the damage level is left alone, the arcade run may take longer but you may also stand a better chance against the boss. Ultimately that decision should be based on how comfortable you feel fighting the boss, but one of the big loopholes that we can use is the ability to adjust our Spirit Gauge to Infinite. With this, you can effectively spam each character's super moves until the enemy is defeated: thanks to the invincibility frames granted during the startup of the move, meaning it doesn't matter if the opponent blocks the move at first or not. Once you have completed Arcade Mode with all 47 characters, the trophy will unlock.
