I would say persevere-I took maybe 5 or 6 tries, the key is to get your 1st attack in early. Try getting in even sooner than you have done. It'll click-the method works!

Thanks, I found it worked when I was standing on the furthest right bottom corner so it allowed me to start my attack a little earlier and get the 10

If you read my text it does clearly indicate that its not my video. Still, it saves people having to go find a video for themselves, doesn't it?

Another trick is at the start of the fight against him. move to the leftmost side of the screen so that he'll use his lightning attack. When I did this and ran to the cliff, he had only backed off a little bit to use it so I was able to start my attacks while he was still doing it. Got it easy.

I am having a rough time getting it by this method. I have tried probably 30-40 times and the most I ever get is nine. Is there some nuanced element of getting this achievement that is not mentioned in the video?

OK, so here's the catch to this one. If you wait for him to come to you, you will always ever only get 8 hits, so yes, you have to start early on him coming to you. If you notice in the video, the attempt that gets him the 11 hits, he starts the stomp while gideon is still throwing red skulls, he just got lucky that he managed to get him close for the 3rd skull. That's kinda what you have to do - wait or bait him to the top to throw that third skull and then pounce. You want to get 2 hits in before his arms start turning red as you hit him, you can get 8 hits in when his arms turn red after a hit.

As the above poster's video shows, the easiest place I've found to unlock this achievement is against Gigadeon Graves in the final Subspace highway level.

One thing I discovered through Trial and Error that the Achievement Hunter video DOESN'T point out is that you can allow yourself more time to preform stomps by doing the following:

1) Stand at the very TOP of the platform so that the boss will raise to his maximum height.

2) Once he does so, move to the bottom of the platform, jump and begin stomping his abdomen.

3) The boss will slowly move down to the bottom of the platform without attacking or moving away so that he can line his attacks up. This will allow you MUCH more time to squeeze in 3-4 extra stomps, which should be more than enough to unlock the achievement.

I thought I was doing something wrong the entire time as he would either slam the platform or move away, which immediately causes you to end the stomp combo and drop back down. Once I realized his lower body and midsection would extend the combo, I got the achievement on my first try.

It was also pointed out to me that playing Survival Horror mode can net you this one too. You'll need to kill 100+ zombie first so that the screen is FLOODED with them, but if you want to really work for it, that's the way to do it.

Hope that helps others out a bit.

The most desirable place to attempt this achievement is in "Survival Horror Mode". To access this mode you have to input a code on the title screen of the game : Down, Up, Right, Down, Up, Right, Down, Up, Right, Right, Right. As far as I know that is the only way to unlock it.

Once you access the zombie mode go ahead and kill about 100 to 150 zombies. Once that many are dead, the level should fill-up pretty quick with zombies. Once the level is overloaded with zombies is the best time to attempt. Just jump and press Y to hit 10 consectutive heads and hopefully you should get this in a short time.

Note : Be careful with Knives Chau, she has multiple moves that can be done in the air. Try to not press down & Y or the A button in mid-air because Knives will execute a different move and it'll mess up your combo.

The video KarlosKaval posted is not available anymore, I think it's the one I used myself to learn how to get the achievement, so I'll sum it up here.

When you fight Gigadeon's second phase with Knives (once you destroyed the faces that constitute his abdomen), call in Ramona with a second controller and use her striker, position Knives close to the edge on the lower half of the cliff, jump high when Gigadeon closes in, then spam the head stomp move (Y in mid-air) over and over again on Gigadeon's crossed arms.

Ramona's striker will benefit you in two ways:
First point, her striker activates Hyper Mode for all players, so Knives will take advantage of it as well.
Second point, since Hyper Mode cancels recovery and increases character speed, you can cancel an air stomp into another much better and faster, thus not risking Gigadeon moving away from you around the 7th or 8th hit, and also you have less latency between each stomp attack.

NB: You can also use this opportunity to get "The Power of Friendship" by reviving Ramona over and over afterwards, since Gigadeon dishes out massive damage, if you use a level 1 partner this should go really fast, just move close to her when she's downed and follow the button prompts.

EDIT: Grammar.

: This trophy can now be obtain online with a boosting partner as of the Online Multiplayer and Wallace DLC Pack.

Ninja Somersault is the hardest trophy in the game. In order to unlock the trophy you must simply perform at least 10 consecutive head stomps successfully with Knives. The head stomp is one of Knives Move List attacks. You can perform the Head Stomp by pressing the button in mid air. It's a level 11 move, but you should be a level 16. There are a variety of methods that you can do to go about obtaining this trophy. Once you've completed your 10th and successful head stomp without getting blocked or hit, you'll unlock the trophy. Below are the three best methods:

  • Method 1: Very Difficult Method
    • This is the hardest method, but this is the original normal method for obtaining the trophy. Begin the Story Mode on Average Joe and as Knives and then select Subspace Highway? Once you're in the level, proceed to face Gideon's second form of the Angle/Mutant. Now you may be tempted to do the head stomps on the Mutant Evil Exes, but he'll just eventually do his shock attack to hurt you. Simply defeat the first Mutant form and he'll face you himself. Now try your best to get into a good position and jump into the air with and continue to press the button against him. If you're lucky enough to manage to do the 10 consecutive head stomps successfully without being hurt, missing or blocked, then you'll unlock the trophy. The only thing that makes this method hard is that it doesn't always work out this way. For one, he'll usually back away once you hit him for the 8th time causing you to miss him. He can also punch you off the stage which does a lot of damage and sometimes he slams his fist on to the ground which interferes with you attacking him. Try to start hitting him when he gets close to you and keep spamming the button while in the air to keep the consecutive head stomps going. If you were lucky to pull it off you get 11 consecutive hits and he'll enter lightning attack mode.
  • Method 2: Medium Difficult Method
    • This is the second best method for obtaining the trophy. Begin the Story Mode on Average Joe and as Knives and then select Subspace Highway? Now after jumping onto the platform with the Scott's Heart Sword in your hand, connect a 2nd controller and have a "guest" ready to join into the game as "Ramona", but first use the Sword to defeat the Mutant Evil Exes form then quickly throw the Sword away with the button. Now quickly press the button on your 2nd controller to have Ramona join into the game. Move her towards the upper portion of the screen next to the blue pillar and have her use her Striker by pressing the button. Now both characters will be in Ex Mode making them faster. Now get close to Gideon and jump into the air with and continue pressing the button to perform head stomps. If lucky you'll get over 10 consecutive head stomps right there. If not, there are a few things that could happen. One of the most common things that happens is once you get the 8th consecutive hit, Gideon will back up and out of your reach causing you to miss him; however, thanks to the Ex Mode from Ramona you can simply start spamming the Tech 2 attack with + while still in the air. This tech will send you higher into the air and will keep your combo going. This is why Ramona's Striker is needed to get Knives into Ex Mode. When Gideon returns back into your reach, continue to hit him with the remaining amount of head stomps that you need. Moments later the trophy will unlock. It's also worth mentioning that he won't attack you if you attack him right away when he's back into reach. This method was originally mentioned by pillsbury15.

If you're wondering where to unlock Tech 2, then you must play through World 6: The Park and make it into the secret shop where you see four guys standing outside. Press the button to enter the secret shop and buy the Special Training for $57.50. Check your Move List and you'll notice that you have Tech 2 unlocked. Note that if you unlocked Tech 1 instead of Tech 2, then simply press and select Return to Map. Now Select World 6: The Park over again and make it to the shop to buy the Special Training once again. This time you'll have Tech unlocked.

  • Method 3: Medium/Easy Difficult Depending on Skills
    • This is another common way to go about obtaining the trophy, but it's the most time consuming way and requires skill as well as luck. The first thing you'll need to do is use the Survival Horror (aka Zombie Mode) at the title screen with the following code: , , , , , , , , , , . Now that you've entered that code, you'll have a new mode inside the Extra Game Modes. Go into Extra Game Modes and select Survival Horror on Average Joe difficultly and then select Knives as your character. Now it's time to get to the killing. You'll need to kill an extremely high amount of zombies in order to fill the screen full of zombies. I recommend that you kill around 75-90+ zombies. Do this by getting over 5 kills without getting hit to have Knives enter Ex Mode. Once in Ex Mode, jump into the air with and then spam Tech 2 by pressing the
+ to quickly rack up kills. Once you're close to a decent high amount of kills such as 75-90+, simply go towards the bottom of the screen or either the middle of the screen and spam the + and + over and over again. This trick will help you line the zombies up for you to continue to head stomp. Once you feel like you're ready, jump into the air with and start head stomping with button. Make sure that each hit connects and inflicts damage towards the zombie you hit. If the zombie you hit blocks the attack or if you miss or just simply got hit the consecutive counter will reset and you will have to retry the consecutive head stomps over again. If you're lucky to pull off this method you'll unlock the trophy.

The hint only works with 2 controllers and requires excellent skill.

I made it easier, turned on the zombie mode, which in turn was unlocked with a code (down, up, right, down, up, right, down, up, right, right, right) and when there are a lot of zombies - this is after about 70 killed corpses, you start jump...
