I got a new lure after catching my first fish in Arcade mode. I just selected the default Lure and threw it in. My 1st bass I caught was a normal size one, but after bringing it to the boat and getting sized, it gave me a new Lure and the achievement unlocked on the spot for me

That menas the fish was big enough! I had to catch 3 or 4 fishes before i got it and moved to the next area. The requirement was to catch a total 11lbs combined weight for all the fishes but you got it with just one big fish then. :)

I had 10 pounds 14 ounces total when the achievement popped. It didn't even finish the round. I'm not sure what the exact requirement for the new lure is, but it seems you just need to get over a certain threshold, perhaps 10lbs or more?

i haven't had much luck reeling in the big fishes, caught mostly 3- pounders. The moment a got the 4-pounder i got the achievement.

This trophy will be your first and a very simple one to earn, it will unlock after you’ve caught a couple of fish during Arcade Mode.
