There are 12 locations where you can fish in Niaowu. You have to begin a fishing session at each location to unlock this.

• 2 behind the Save Shenmue building on Blossom Road
• Behind the Ferry Terminal at the Port
• Near the Get River Fish stand on Vendor Avenue. The fishing spot is along the closest shoreline at the fork in the road that leads to Senary Road and the fisherman's dock.
• 3 At the Fisherman's wharf near the entrance of Vendor Avenue and Senary Road
• On a pier to the right of Liu Jiao Shrine
• On a pier to the left of Liu Jiao Shrine
• 2 (1 locked) Behind Liu Jiao Shrine (1 on the pier connecting the two shrines)(1 behind the second building, which is locked and has to be unlocked by completing the subquest "Wagon Bus")
• (locked) At the Port behind the warehouse next to the Ferry Terminal. You have to unlock this by completing the subquest "Ryo Plays Cupid"
