How to unlock the Score 100% achievement in Sigi - A Fart for Melusina - Definitive Guide

This isn't a full solution so much as a note of what you need to do here.

You need to 100% the game to actually get this achievement. When you defeat the final boss and get the percentage, it needs to read 100. What goes into the 100%?

- Collecting Sigi letters for every level
- Collecting the artifacts: Talisman, Statue, Crown, Apple, and Grail
- Find and clear all Caves

During my first run of the game, I was under time and had collected all Sigi's and missed one artifact and a few caves. I found the missing artifact (Talisman) and then rebeat the final boss to find I was still short on percentage because I had missed some caves.

When I redid the game and got everything, I found all the caves and items and was still under 25 minutes total. There is a good amount of leeway in there even with some mistakes and replays I made.

Note: Many, MANY users have mentioned the ability to pause the game and the time not increase and actually decrease in many cases. The timing is lenient enough to not need this, but if you so desire, that has helped some people push their times even further down to below 20 minutes. Please be careful if waiting on this, I can't say what the developer will or will not patch in the future, so I'd say go for it sooner rather than later.

I used this video to help with the caves etc. for my second run. Pausing my game to watch it and not making the couple of mistakes he did I finished with 100% in just over 18 minutes

I believe there might be a bug that can reset the timer. I completed this with 16:51 on the timer but I definitely took longer and replayed two levels. What happened is that I went to the dashboard as my food arrived when in the opening of the fight with Blind John. As I couldn't pause, I hit the guide button. This forced the game to pause. I then went to the dashboard. It is possible that resuming the game reset the timer. It might have to do with the boss fight but I am not sure. Feel free to test this.

This video is timestamped, but I used it for the caves and collectibles. It shows enough if you've played it once through already.

Worth noting there is no cave or collectible on level 17, so just following that few minutes will save watching a whole walkthrough.
Enjoy.

There's definitely something screwy with the timer, I just finished at 6:53. I didn't quit out at any point, though I did pause at the start of each level and replayed level 19 twice. May be exploitable in some way if people are having trouble.

I paused to watch a guide video at the start of each level. My time was 07:38, which was definitely way low. .

I said at the end 100% but I did not get the time can I just go back and get better times on the levels or do I need to do everything?

You need a new run on it unfortunately. It does not just take the best times for each level.

Yep I paused in every level to watch a guide and to eat during my second playthrough and ended with -40 minutes. I think pause time reverses your total

I went to every cave and got all the collectibles but it says I only did 97%, confusing/frustrating. I'm not sure which cave isn't counting, but that's the only achievement that didn't pop.

Hmm. I haven't seen anything not count before. If I remember correctly, every level except one has a cave on it too.

Find this game ,kinda hard, does it matter if I get a game over and continue as long as I'm within the time?

I believe it all comes down to time so it shouldn’t matter. Unfortunately I can’t speak to game overs truly as I had built up quite a stockpile of lives that made that problem moot.

FYI - I paused before each level to watch a video for the next level. It took me approximately 45 minutes to do one play through if you take into account the time I paused. At the end, it showed 16:43 and the achievement still popped.

The link suggests you pause the game, not stay idle. All relevant information is already present here. Although it would be nice for the RadicalSniper99 to include it in the solution itself.

No blame at all, Epsilon. I understand the request. I just am always very hesitant given the fickle nature of development and glitches. I don't know if I expect them to patch it honestly, but I've seen weirder things happen.

Confirmed idle pause still works and if you miss any caves, continue and replay the levels. The cave achievo popped at the end of level 11.

Could anyone confirm it still Works? Also, I just Pause the game and keep it on the "Thanks for the break" screen, or do I need to go into the Xbox Home screen or something?

Starting to get frustrated ._. already 100% 2 times the game (first one over 50 minutes, tried to get this glitch but it didn't work, second time completed the game in around 33 minutes!! got some lives, paused the game with the boss at just one heart, waited 20 minutes, killed him and the time at the end didn't go down..) Perhaps it got patched this week?

do you have to start a new game to get this achievement or can you level select at level 1.

i really didn't want to have to face the final boss again as he was a right pain to beat.

They patched the pause to rewind time. I tried several times with the pause method, never got the under 30 minutes. Just did a run and got it legit.

Just finished my first run through this. I used the video above. I was 36 seconds short of the required time. The video includes a lot of mistakes where the guy restarts levels. If you replicate everything he does you will probably miss the time requirement. I would recommend watching each level in full before you play the level yourself, and make sure not to restart any levels.

Paused in the middle of each level and watched a guide, got a time of 32 minutes and it wasn't 100%. So I have no fucking idea what I missed but DO NOT follow the video JPG30 posted. Total and complete waste of time.

I was waiting a bit to jump on this one and add it to the solution (which I will now). In general, my philosophy for glitches and things I didn't verify is always to wait first for more confirmation (which I now have). The other reason I don't take too much into glitches is for the possibility of them being patched. I don't know what will happen with this one, but I will add the notes for now.

I can confirm that pausing works to run the timer backwards for an already completed game. I had about an hour on my first playthrough (don't judge, I sucked at the boss fights lol) and about 85% completion- missed a few caves and some of the collectibles. Went back and mopped those up and beat the final boss again to make sure I was at 100% completion. That put me at 100% with 2 hours. I then continued my game, ground out a bunch of lives in level 1, went to the final boss and got him down to one heart and paused my game without letting the controller go idle. After about an hour and a half, I unpaused and finished the battle. The game was 100% complete with a game time of 00:19:28. Cheevo popped.

This is pretty easy anyway, but if anyone is struggling (i.e. need to farm lives), apparently pausing the game and then idling the controller on the last boss whilst paused for 30 minutes glitches the timer and gives you the achievement upon completion. You do still need to 100% it, though. Haven't tried it myself, but others have reported that this works.

My 100% Speedrun Walkthrough video getting 1000G, All Achievements in 23mins.

Tips:
- Pausing DOES stop the timer (suggested to pause then watch the video to see where the cave is located. Then un pause and cruise through the level)
- SIGI all easily found
- Only the Prologue, Boss Fights & Lv. 17 don't have caves
- If you fail to get a letter within the cave (won't let you back in) hit Pause and "Main Menu" Then "Continue". This will save your 100% run, it happened to my friend I know this works.
- Do Not slow down for coins or enemies
- All Boss fights include commentary adding the ways to beat them quick!
- All *Special items* (5) and All Caves (15) are timestamped below

TIMESTAMPS:

After following other guides and the playing through the game twice (2nd for fun and to confirm some of the points below), I wanted to share a few notes:
1) Pausing the game: Others have noted that the game had a rewind function when pausing the game. This does not seem to work anymore. However, I found that you can still pause the game and the timer will at least stop during that time allowing you to check walkthroughs (text, video, etc). This was confirmed 2/5/2018 as I had a final time of 24:33 (in real-time my 1st playthrough took ~45 minutes).

2) Platforming: I am not great at platforming but the game is incredibly easy and forgiving. That being said, you need to be flawless when making your way through the secret caves. If you miss a jump in a cave, you will not be able to go back in and pick up any letters or secret objects (like the golden lady in level 19). If you die in a cave, your character will spawn outside of the cave and you will not be able to re-enter.
*I did notice if you caused a platform like a cloud to disappear (outside of a cave), you can reset them by dying.

3) Time > Lives: I respect other walkthroughs for having ~50 lives by the end of the game. For me, I only had about 20 as I did not take my time with enemies and essentially button mashed (both jumping and spamming attack commands) to make my way through them. The game is so generous with checkpoints that I never really felt like my time suffered and I could generally make it through enemies taking plenty of hits in time to pick up an extra life, Heath item, or even the level finish marker.

Like I said above, I found great walkthroughs ( both text and video) that made this game as easy as advertised. My 3 pointers above are to help with any lingering ideas you may have about the game. I’m not great at platforming and I hope that others may find this useful if they have a similar play style to mine!

Before the final boss battle, you can return to any level on the map and replay it.
After defeating the final boss, you will not be able to do this and after finishing the game, you will only have a New game (you will have to go through everything from the very beginning).

On the world map and when paused, the time counter does not continue to tick.

Even after the final boss, you can run around the map (but there will be 3 hearts) and collect the remains, after which you will again need to kill the final boss for the achievement

You don’t just need to complete it in 30 minutes, but complete each level 100%. To do this, at all levels except the 17th, you need to find a secret cave, and also collect all the letters S, I, G, I on each of the levels and find four secret relics on the 6th, 18th and 19th level ( 2 pieces), and on the 16th eat an apple.
Here is a nice short video with all the secrets and relics. If you want to go through it in one go, I recommend saving to a flash drive more often, since at some levels you can freeze and lose extra time, but only if you fulfill the above condition: find and go through the cave, collect all the letters, find a relic.
