How to unlock the Extermination Addict achievement in Singularity - Definitive Guide

If you get host the matches only ends if you quit and the game cant kick the host for beeing Idle. This way you can do some other stuff while the hostpower is doing the gameing for you.

You can also tell if you're the host when your ping is zero.

I did this and have over 100 wins, still no achievement. Do you know if this is achievement is glitched?

@BShick07: It wasent glitched for me. Are you sure you are doing it in Extermination game mode?

Here is a tip, play the game. If you are going to idle through 100 matches you don't deserve this achievement. If you think this achievement is "boring" then don't play the game. If you want achievements and don't feel like earning them go play Avatar, and stop ruining Singularity matches.

MADDOG900; Please stop your bull, Cameron. You dont need to pretend to be better than other people because you dont glitch in at least this game. People who gives negative vote for this is just people who pretends to be better than everybody else. Almost everyone on TA glitch towards achievements, dont try to pretend youre better than us.

Totally agree with MADDOG900. We're all here because for one reason or another, we highly value meaningless achievements. But it goes too far when you're willing to ruin other players' matches just so you can pop an achievement without earning it.

Here's another free tip maddog: not every game is a gem. Singularity's campaign was alright but the multiplayer is the same crap you can get out of any game's deathmatch mode, and the achievements require far too many hours of play time for a B-grade game. The idle hosts are the developer's fault and nobody else's.

wait i thought this was an achievement site about getting them the fast and/or easiest way possible. if u dont like a method go cry about it else where. i mean seriously there should be an age limit on this site. i LOVE red faction guerrillas MP and still play the game legit to this day. yes the match are extremely hard to come by but ill never complain about someone boost and or getting an achievement.

Harbringernight, Why can't we "cry about" it here? Why would ta put a comments section here if we are not to voice our opinions? The voting is "like" and "don't like", not "works" and "does not work." If a certain "solution" drags the game down for others, what's to like about that? So you won't complain about someone boosting, even if that someone makes your game less enjoyable? That's admirable, yet you take exception with people voicing opinions here. How odd. By the way, I have no issue with boosting, when everyone is boosting together... Not taking up a slot in a lobby.

a tip you can add to your guide is that if you really want to be a host of your own lobby and are already playing, go into every player's gamercard in that game and avoid them. jump out to the multiplayer menu and search Public match. It took a couple games of avoiding everyone to finally get my own lobby and it worked again when I had to do it after a system freeze. I just popped the achievement and i left my xbox on just over 80 total hours. easy grind but you're going to be putting your xbox through the ringer because of how little the player base is.

Also when you have youre own lobby go back and change everyone's rep back to postive.

I'm so with MADDOG800!

Sorry, this method pisses me off... Seems I've always get Mr. or Mrs. 0-ping on my team and so we are down by one and get our butts kicked... No fun at all for the other players on the host's team, so I'm giving this solution a thumbs down. For anyone thinking of doing it, just play the game.

Consider joining or creating a gaming session. People will play the game!

This game type has more players playing it, unlike creatures vs soldiers. It is much easier to find a game.

Each game is roughly 10-30 long. So it may take some time.

Play this legit (Like I did) and get it in a few days. It wasn't too boring and did not feel like a long grind.

A game will start if you and a friend or random person are searching for a game at the same time. Then you just wait for four more people to join. Six people are needed for a game to be played. No reason to boost just yet.

But, just a quick thing for all you achievement hunters out there. If you get to be host you are allowed to just sit there the whole game and not get kicked. Leave the your 360 on for a good bit of hours and you will get the achievement.

If your ping is "0" or you were the first person in the match you are host.

I know, and I appreciate that... I was just commenting for anyone else reading. I've been trying to get my 100 games, legit... I'm at about 62 and every time I see a 0-ping. 0-kills, 0-assists, etc. I cringe. I don't mind loosing, but when there's a non-player in the room it blows.

Its only to play the games and not win but since you don't care if you lose what does it matter? More kills for you right? So, why give me a negative? Not being a dick or anything but I assume once you get your achievement you won't play it anymore so why care?

I guess I should have said "I don't mind loosing when everyone is playing.", i.e. loosing in a balanced game. If my friends hit me up for help, I will play. I suspect your points are shared by most, and that's fine, this method is just not for me.

personally this game is 3 years old and has barely any players. This achievement is for games played not games won. So I say go for the "sit" - anyone else should just get over it. Good solution - I use a turbo controller instead of trying to get host.

1) If you are setting up a boosting session:

a) Have 12 people (plus back-ups) so that you can fill the game lobby preventing randoms from joining.

b) Use Blitzers with Fast Recharge and simply rush the beacons and renew them as fast as possible. This way each match will only take about 6-8 minutes as opposed to a potential half hour.

c) If people are going for kills, try to focus on one person's needs at a time so that you do not lose focus on renewing the beacon. And of course, so that it does not turn into a free-for-all.

2) If you do not want to create/join a session:

a) Find an empty lobby (a lobby where you are the only person) and just leave your xbox on. You cannot get removed from the game for being idle. You do not have to spawn. Two ways to do this semi-easily:
i) Get on at an odd time. ie. 04:00PST / 07:00 EST / 12:00GMT when traffic on this game is low.
ii) Join an Extermination game, wait for it to fill up - to 12 players - and leave the game. Wait a minute or two for someone to take your spot and when you search for a match you should be put into your own lobby. NOTE: This method works much better if you have someone that can stay in the game that fills up to tell you when it is full. This is something I and others I have boosted with have done quite successfully.

Overall, method 1 is faster, but method 2 is easier as you do not have to be present.

Happy Extermination Games!
And may the odds be ever in your favour!

Grinding method -

If you own a turbo controller, an effortless way to get 100 matches is to go into the Extermination lobby, turn on turn R trigger, X, and A on turbo. This should cover all your bases for buttons you'll need to press. You cannot go idle in this game or you get kicked out. You do not need to mess with the control sticks.

Stay in the lobby, even if it's not full. Leave the box on, go to work, go to sleep, whatever. Eventually 6 people will fill the lobby and the game will start. You won't go idle and you'll keep on playing. Over time you'll get your 100 games.

This is first gametype option in the multiplayer menu. You only have to play 100, you don't have to win them all. The rules are as follows:

Rounds: 2 (1 as creatures, 1 round as humans)
Required Amount of Players: Minimum 6

Soldier Objective: You must get to the beacon and repair it by pressing on it. If successful, a timer will start at 00:20. You must defend the beacon from getting damaged by creatures, repairing it with if that happens. If the creatures damage the beacon below 75% then you must do it all over again. If you don't do this within 5 minutes, your round ends and you cannot move on to the next beacon. Each time you are successful you move on to the next section. You are trying to do these as fast as you can to have a better overall round time than your opponents.

Creature Objective: All you have to do is kill the soldiers when they approach the beacon. If the count down starts for extermination, quickly damage the beacon getting it below 75% and then until it's back down to 0%. Using a melee attack is best for this.

Depending highly on the skill of the teams, each round could take anywhere from 3-15 minutes. So 2 rounds, it would be 6-30 minutes. So for all 100 matches, you're looking at about 20-25 hours most likely. The multiplayer over time will have few people playing, so you'll have to use the acheivement trading thread HERE. You can invite people to join your matches. If you quit a match, it won't count. If you join a match and it's almost over, that will still count.

Alternative Method
If you really want to get this out of the way fast, keep attempting to get your own lobby by choosing public match and with a little luck, it will put you in by yourself. Now you can leave the game unattended. Since you're host you cannot get kicked for inactivity. You won't spawn. Believe it or not you can still get wins this way too, even without playing at all. You'll act as sort of a dedicated host, as anyone trying to play will most likely be thrown into your match. Many times the game already has odd amounts of players, so hopefully you're on the team that has more people (making it even).

The biggest time sink in the game. You must play 100 public matches of Extermination, regardless of whether you win or lose. Along the way you will earn the Extermination Expert trophy at 5 games, and hopefully the Extermination Master trophy for winning 25 of them. It is while you are working on this trophy that you will likely earn the bulk of the multiplayer trophies aside from CvS Master. Games must be complete in order to count towards your total, so if you are disconnected from the host during the game, you're out of luck. If you join a game already in progress however, the partial game will still count towards the 100 (as long as you're not disconnected).

I found this method for myself.

We go to the lobby early, say in the morning, so that you are the first (this means that you are the “Host”), now you can at least read a book, watch movies or go to work. If you are a host, you will not be kicked for idleness.

For example, I bet, say, at 14:00 and go about my business through the list, checking whether I received trophies or not. During the period from 14:00 to 21:00 I get 20-30 matches played. Good luck

The most boring trophy in the game. It's time for the developers to cut off their hands for this.

While receiving this trophy, you will receive almost all other multiplayer trophies.

Attention: On bourgeois sites, there is information that the progress of a mudtiplayer game is not stored on the game servers, but on your console in a regular save. If you change or delete your save, all game progress will be lost. Be careful.
