How to unlock the Golden Acts achievement in Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing - Definitive Guide

For this achievement you will need to accumulate 750,000 miles over the course of the game.

The quickest way i found to earn Miles is to setup a 1 lap race on Whale Lagoon, i dont think the racer matters but i used Sonic, each race you should earn 2,000 or so miles COMING FIRST. There is a chance to earn more Miles each race, by finishing the race without collecting any power-ups you'll earn an extra 250Miles and by finishing the race without drifting you'll earn an extra 250Miles (Thanks to drabik for those)
Now once you have won the race and it is over you will be brought to a menu screen, select "Play Again" and do another race over and over, it all gets saved.
Note: if you fall of the track during your lap you will lose 300miles off the total earned, not much but still annoying

The reason i say 1 lap is i noticed that for 3 laps i got 2500ish miles per race, so if you can get 2000 a 1 lap race thats 6000 for 3 races, which is more than doing one 3 lap race.

Hope this helps speed up the process.
You can check your mileage by viewing your licence from the main menu

This will obviously unlock the lower level licenses and their corresponding achievements....

Nice, was wondering about a quick method to do this as nearly have all achievements apart from AAA all missions and Gold license.

You get even more miles when you don't use the drift. Between 2250-2500!

Here's my mini-guide. Get a good start - do not drift whatsoever. Stay behind the pack for the first two set of items. When you get to the inverted-twisty area, you should overtake the frontrunners. For the next set of items, you can dodge them by driving to the left.

If you do not pick up items, do not drift and do not collide with cars/walls/weapons, you should get about 2500

When you get hit by a powerup item from an opponent you'll end up getting 250 miles less

You can turn off power-ups in the settings. I used Shadow, because its easy to get the beginning turbo boost with him, & he can easily weave through the other cars after. Don't drift or fall & you'll get over 2500 every 1 lap race. You should be in the lead up until the corkscrew portion of the race, but immediately after that, they slow down & let you pass them.

I started off doing 9 laps of Whale Lagoon and only got 6000 ish miles. Put it on 1 lap and managed to get 2000 as the guide states. I tried going round without boosting and winning and also without using a weapon. None of these makes any difference to the amount of miles earned so i'd suggest just grind out 1 lap and keep winning.

The quickest and most efficient way I found is to set AI to beginner, no power ups, no catch up, no hazards. Treetops 1 lap and win. (With drifting) you get 2150-ish every time. Factoring in the end win sequence and the reloading to play again you will get this every 40-42 seconds. It's by far the easiest way if you don't mind the grind.

I'm just about to unlock this achievement and it's taken roughly 2 hours of grinding to get about 200,000 (I think)

There is a more automated way to get this achievement (and all of the other related achievements).

Go into Time Trial mode, pick any racer, and select the Icicle Valley track (it's the second track in the list). Find something to hold the gas down (you will probably want to change the controls so that A is the gas) and go get a sandwich. The car will drive itself around the track; whenever you hit a wall too hard or fall off the track (should only happen on the final jump on the track) it will re-adjust you to go in the correct direction.

You will need to check on it every hour or so (as the car either gets stuck grinding a wall too fast to force a reset but too slow to finish in time or the game just ends), but you can make up the 250,000 miles needed between silver and gold in a few hours without doing much.

I absolutely enjoy seeing solutions like these.

Anyway, I'm guessing with the controller pressing A constantly, will that restart the race as well? Haven't played the game in weeks and can't remember what option is first when the race ends.

Is it A? I thought it was RT. Been a while. Anyways, it never restarts until you manual restart it, that's why the time trial is the best mode. It's just continuous around the same track trying to beat your previous time.

Ah! I understand what he's trying to say now. Thanks.

The only reason why I brought up the A button is because the solution creator mentioned about changing the controls from RT to A. Plus, that was when I thought the race ends. D'oh! :-)

It's easier to use RT and use the rubberband method. If you have a wired controller or a plug n play use that. The wireless ones suck because everytime the controller shuts off after 15 mins of inactivity, it pauses your game.

Very sound advice! I fortunately have a wired turbo controller, so no need for a book or rubberband. :)

The fastest way in my opinion is to start the level "Treetops" with 1 lap and no hazards. I had about 200 000 miles left when I had gotten most of the achievements and doing this method it only took me about 2 hours. You can easily complete the level in 35 seconds earning you about 1900-2000 Miles everytime.

Ok, so i started out with Spilners guide, and to me it feels like it could be quicker, so here is a vid that i am using which i feel is less time consuming, this isn't my vid so props go to whoever came up with this originally, also, rather than taping my trigger i put a rubber band around the trigger, to the right stick and sat the controller, plugged in, on a pillow so the vibrations didn't annoy me, anyways, good luck.
