How to unlock the Online Racer achievement in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Definitive Guide

Simply finish in 1st for 10 zones while playing online. Normally, you have to do both acts for it to count. If the other player gets a Game Over before the zone is finished, it counts as a win for you.

You can just keep killing yourself by the monkey throwing coconuts at the beginning of the stage, making things a bit easier.
