How to unlock the Full Moon achievement in Sonic Unleashed - Definitive Guide

Hello. Here are all the guide videos I found to help you get through these medals on all stages. They will be in order going down from "Apotos" "Spangonia" "Mazuri" "Holoska" "Chun-nan" "Shamar" "Empire City" "Adabat" then the boss battles for last. If you're still missing medals, then make sure you do all the mini missions and get the medals which isn't that hard, that and go to the professor and give him all the Souvenirs for medals.
Credit go's to SonicTheMedals for the videos.
Happy Hunting ~

Another tip for collecting medals: you don't need to clear the stage for medals to be saved. If you missed something in the beginning of the level, you can collect it and exit the stage through the pause menu.

You need to collect all 200 Moon Medals from around the game to obtain this.

Pressing the start button will tell you how many you have collected out of the amount of medals in the level. They can be found in the villages/towns, the entrance stages and the levels and on some side missions. Also, be sure to recheck area's other than the levels as both Sonic and Werehog as they both have separate sets of medals.

As of yet I haven't found any decent guides as to where they all are but if anyone finds one let me know so I can put it on here.

However I can give you some tips on where to look in general.

- As soon as the level starts, check behind you and check behind the exit of the level too.

- Go through the speed stages as slow as you can as Sonic and they are pretty hard to miss.

- Look for things that you can grab onto as Werehog to reach other places - this may include stacking boxes up to get higher.

- Look in the gaps of walls or floors, break open doors or destroy scenery to also find hidden ones.

Here you have to collect all 400 medals (200 Sun, 200 Moon) throughout the game. Some of these medals are well-hidden. There are some things you need to know:

  • All mainstream levels (Story levels) except Eggmanland have at least one medal.
  • Even BOSS levels (excluding the Eggmanland bosses) have medals for you to collect.
  • All hubs and entrance stages (excluding Eggmanland) have medals scattered and hidden around.
  • Professor Pickle has 18 medals you need to get from him. To do that, you must give him souvenirs as an exchange.
  • Extra levels that are not from the story also have medals.
  • Some townspeople mini-missions have medals for you to collect in them.

This task of collecting them all shouldn't take you longer than 8-10 hours if you use this video guide: LINK

Thank you ShadnicK826 for the video guide.

There are 200 Sun Medals and 200 Moon Medals in all. You can find them in various places:

- Each country's village contains 2-4 Sun medals at Night and 2-4 Moon medals during the Day.
- Each country's entrance stage contains 2 Sun and 2 Night medals.
- Each stage contains a number of both medals.
- Certain missions from the townspeople can contain 1 or 2 medals.

Remember you can press when in the villages or missions to check how many medals you have found there (at the bottom right). Also, you don't need to finish a level after collecting medals for them to save, you can press and exit. Make sure it autosaves after, however.

Click HERE for video guides for the medals in each level.

There are a total of 200 solar and 200 lunar medals in the game. You can find them in different places:

  • Each city has 2-4 medals at night and the same number during the day.
  • Each gate stage has two solar and two lunar medals.
  • Each story stage has medals of both types in varying quantities.
  • Some missions from residents also have medals as a reward - one or two pieces.

While in a city or stage, you can press start to see how many medals are left to collect in a given location. In this topic you can watch video tips on finding all medals
