How to unlock the Power Overwhelming achievement in Sonic Unleashed - Definitive Guide

Sonic the Werehog has 75 levels, broken down into 5 skills categories as follows:

31 Combat Levels
11 Strength levels
11 Life Levels
11 Unleash Levels
11 Shield Levels

How you gain exp. is up to you. Personally, I found that using the trick where you sell chili dogs to Wentos for more than you buy them for is the fastest way to get experience.

Could you post the Wentos method, if nothing else than for someone not to have to go to another site.

First of all I want to point out that working toward this achievement will take a while. Personally, I had over 100,000 rings and did not even come close to enough rings yet.

To get the required rings i took the following steps:

1. Find Wentos and 99 buy chocolate bars for 50 and sell them back to him for 100 and repeat untill desired.
2. Go to Mazuri and buy 99 strawberry cake for 60 (30 exp/each) and 99 chili dog for 50 (30 exp/each).
3. Repeat the process untill you have the required exp.

Note: Wentos does not always have chocolate bars on him and he does move after you talk/purchase from him. He also does not always give you a profit for chocolate bars, sometimes he will try to buy them for less than what you pay for them.

I'm not exactly sure how much experience you need to upgrade all the levels, but I've worked out you need roughly 1,500 bars in total. Each bar is 100 EXP, that works out as two Hero Sandwiches per bar, so 3,000 Hero Sandwiches. If you buy them from Wentos for 50 Rings each, that's still 150,000 rings required.

If you want to use Chilli Dogs instead, which are 50 rings for 30 EXP each, you would need 250,000 rings.

though wentos has different things and different times/locations, it is hard to predict what he will have though he does have chilly dogs alot though, i found that he had them at a few different locations.. but really if you buy anything that will give a profit it helps, as it is hard to find him and he does always sell things that you can profit from.

the best way by far, to gain EXP is by buying hero sandwichs for 30 rings off of wentos in one area. Then you can sell them back to wentos for 90 rings in a different area

This is going to increase your rings substantially which means you can buy more hero sandwichs. Once you have enough start eating them, they give 50 EXP each!

Here's one way to do it that no one is talking about and it still works in 2023-2024.

Go to Chun-nan. Climb the wall at the very beginning using the wall jump. There will be a circle of rings. Dash into them. Keep walking around where the rings are and you'll forever keep getting rings. You can even stack it by waiting for the rings to reappear, which won't affect the glitch, and dashing into them again. You can keep doing this until you've reached your desired rings and buy whatever is needed to give XP. Chili dogs I found are the best to use. Rinse and repeat until all levels of the Hedgehog and Werehog are maxed.

To gain these trophies you must MAX all of Sonic's stats as hedgehog AND werehog. Every time you defeat an enemy it releases yellow orbs. Collecting these "yellow orbs" will increase Sonic's EXP to spend on upgrading Sonic's stats. So does eating food. Maxing Sonic the Hedgehog's stats isn't really as time-consuming. You can actually MAX all of the Hedgehog's stats before you reach Eggmanland.

This is different for the Werehog, however. Upgrading the werehog is very time-consuming. It can take hours and hours and this seriously one of the most annoying grind trophies available on the PS3. However, here are the two quickest ways of getting this trophy. It will still take hours, though.

1. Receiving a Special Chili dog from the Vendors
When you complete a hot dog trial stage, the chili dog vendors will give you a special chili dog that usually gives you over 50 EXP when you eat it. So this can be one good option when working towards this trophy (while also working towards the various hot dog ones).

2. Unlimited Rings Trick
This is the fastest way to get the trophy, however it will require many hours, upwards of 3+ hours. If you do attempt this trick, you will need to find Wentos (don't attempt to find him until you unlock the World Map, and you will bump to him eventually so don't waste a bit of more effort looking around to spot him).

For these achievements you need to max out each stat's experience. You get experience from destroying enemies during stages/missions/etc. You can also get experience from eating various foods such as:
- Hero Sandwich - gives 50 exp - bought from Wentos
- Chili dogs - gives 30 exp - costs 50 rings - bought from Mazuri

Each trial stage given by the chili dog vendors will give you a special chili dog which usually gives over 50 experience each time, so it is best to do this achievement whilst working towards the various chili dog ones.

Max levels:
Sonic:
Speed: 11
Ring Energy: 6

Werehog:
Combat: 31
Strength: 11
Life: 11
Unleash: 11
Shiedl: 11

See Ring Leader for tips on how to get rings easy for buying food.
