How to unlock the MUSIC FAN achievement in Space Invaders Infinity Gene - Definitive Guide

Easy achievement (10-20 minutes, 0 skill difficulty) but you need a 360 and a real/not burnt audio CD

Index:
1. Requirements/Overview
2. Ripping the CD (video guide)
3. Ripping the CD (written guide)

4. Creating a Playlist
5. Getting the Achievement done

---Requirements/Overview:
-This achievement is currently only available using an Xbox 360. Using an Xbox One / Series X/S will not work.

-You will also need a "real"/not burnt Audio CD. If you don't have one, buy something cheap online or go look at your local record/CD or bookstore, thrift shop/secondhand exchange or big chain store. You will find a CD for anywhere for an inexpensive price. I am certain this applies in many places. You can still find lots of audio CDs even though they aren't used as much in 2022. Make sure it's in good condition.

-If you have the required items and your 360 successfully can rip your CD (should work for most people) this achievement isn't difficult or time consuming to obtain, the entire process should take 10-20 minutes at the very most.

---Ripping the CD (written guide)
--Quick Steps:
1. (Insert the CD, open from Main Screen, choose the Rip CD option)

---Detailed Walkthrough:
1. Verify that you have ample storage (at the very least 1GB on your 360 hard drive)
--Do this from the Main Menu - Settings - System - Storage (the information will be displayed here)

2. Insert the Audio CD and open it (Play CD) from the main menu of the homescreen

3. If the CD opens and works you should be at a screen where you have an option to Rip CD. Do this and fill out the information about the audio if you want to/if you intend to keep it on your 360, if not skip it and just rip. Done.

====
--Creating a Playlist:
1. Hit the Xbox Guide button on the center of the controller and go to the Media menu - then select System Music Player

2. Select your Hard Drive (where you saved the music) then go to - Saved Playlists - Edit or Save Playlist - Save Playlist - then name it anything and save it.

3.1. If the music is playing you need toSTOP it (not pause) - this can be done via the Xbox Guide button in the center of the controller - then via the Media menu.

====
--Getting the Achievement done:
1. If the music you ripped is playing you need to STOP (not pause) it (can be done via the Xbox Guide button in the center of the controller - via the Media Menu.

2. Launch Space Invaders Infinity Gene

3. From the Main Menu of the game go to Start Game - Music - select your playlist

4. Now complete 10 games of this- dying 3 times each round, 30 deaths in total. Retry when prompted. You can do this quickly or semi-passively which will take a very slight more amount of time (10-25 seconds per death *if I had to guess)

-Semi-passive but not as quick:
Just don't touch anything when you spawn. You will die pretty quickly.

-Quick:
Push all the way Left (or Right) on the D-Pad or Analog Stick when you spawn, wait for the invulnerability to wear off (a few seconds) and you will die if you are in the wall/touch the wall. Repeat.

5. Achievement will pop on the ending screen of your 10th and final game.

6. Don't forget to delete the music you ripped via the Storage screen (or keep it just incase you need music for some other achievement in a different game and your disc drive laser dies in the future)

This is not a solution merely an abstract deduction. I am downvoting this to hell and I'll be damned if there is anything you can do to stop me

Before you can start going for this achievement, you will need to have some music ripped from a cd and saved to your hard drive. Insert and play a cd and the rip cd option will appear under the music players control panel. Music on external devices will not work. When you have some tracks ripped, you then need to setup a playlist.

To do this, start playing some tracks and select the option edit playlist. You can move/delete tracks as you see fit, but only the first song of the playlist will be played in music mode. Once you've got it how you want it, save and name the playlist, then start up the game.

Enter music mode and you can now select which playlist to have on. If you're going for this achievement quickly, just set your stock to 3 and quickly kill yourself and retry the level. Repeat 10 times and the achievement will unlock.

I found it fun to see the difference each music track makes so if you have a bit of time, and like this game, have a little play with a variety of music tracks.

Hope this helps!
