How to unlock the Blingbot achievement in Spare Parts - Definitive Guide

All million credits do not need to be in your possession at once. This is cumulative. You can check your progress in the pause menu, under achievements. If you work thorough the game, collecting every credit you can, you will be somewhere around 300,000 when you finish (not replaying any levels). You can also replay any level to collect more credits.

Some general tips: it helps significantly to have a second player to activate switches simultaneously, which nets you far more credits. There will also be many more enemies to fight. If you don't have a second player you can just plug in another controller and do it yourself. Kill all the enemies! Many times you get a large credit bonus when all the enemies in an area are dead. Try activating switches more than once. Sometimes multiple attempts give you a credit bonus as well.

One of the best levels is the second Jungle Approach zone (once you have the action parts). You can earn over 100,000 per play-through if you are thorough. Be sure to hit all the breakable plants. There are a few hard to reach ones in this zone but they offer multiple gold credits. The cave full of caterpillars is the source of a lot of credits in this zone (be sure to hit the well before you enter or most of the caterpillars will not spawn). Also you can repeatedly enter the cave and exit in order to re-spawn groups of enemies. This will allow you to collect the bonus for killing them all numerous times. There are two groups in particular that drop large bonuses when defeated. The group near the exit and the small group that appears when you use your nano arm on the switch in the top right corner of the zone.

Overall this achievement should not take more than an hour of solid playing after you complete the game.

**UPDATE**
Credit goes to Beuzer0: When you start a new game you retain all of your earned credits. So it is possible to do this in more than one play-through. Thanks for the update!

If you have been playing co-op then this total is the total you have collected personally, not the total earned between you!

Right. Even if you have two controllers plugged in just make sure the one going for the achievement collects the credits. The other one can stand out of the way unless they are needed to activate a switch.

I have no idea. I never started a new game. If that works be sure and post it here and I will update the solution.

Ok I just started a new game and I can confirm that you keep your total amount of credits earned : in the achievements screen, my credits from the new game have been added to the previous total.
So it's possible to start from scratch and continue to smash mother nature in order to get money :p (if you are in doubt, you can make a copy of your save into a USB key)

Credit goes to ThEliteOne on ps3trophies.org for this guide:

In Level 1 (Jungle Approach) Zone 1, play the level normally until you reach the Co-Op area with the Hatch and Nano Trigger panel. Activated it and defeat the 3 enemy robots. The last one will drop lots of Gold Coins. Run back to the well and knock down the teeth of the statue behind it, and clear the cave.

Exit the cave and all enemies outside will have respawned. Run back to the hatch, hit the panel and kill the 3 enemy robots again for another 5000 credits. Run back into the cave and quickly exit again (enemies inside the cave don't respawn) and back to the hatch and panel. Keep repeating this for 5000 credits every 30 seconds. Works even better if you have fully upgraded your Part Thrower for quick 1-hit kills from range.

Although this achievement can look a little daunting at first it isn't as bad as you think. I would personally go for the "Shop-o-bot" and "Better, Stronger, Faster" achievements before you start on this one. The reason for this as when you get both of these achievements you now you have already obtained 447,500 meaning you are just under half way there. The final 562,500 can be obtained within under 90 minutes after. I would recommend that you head on over to Jungle Approach: Zone 1 as within this level you are able to collect a minimum of 50,000 on each run. Now I say minimum as when I did it I neglected to scan all the objects to get the extra credits. Now if you go through the level hitting all breakable objects and kill all enemies you will easily get the 50,000.

I will say that when you get to the well you will need to destroy it. If you don't then when you go down beneath it you will only encounter two green caterpillars as opposed to a mass of them if you do. Now repeat this 10 or 11 times and the achievement is yours.

Be aware that it is best to do this while playing in single player as any credits gained with player two will not count towards your total.

Just thought I would add that, when playing with two players, you significantly increase the amount of credits you can obtain by defeating enemies and simultaneously activating switches. It is simple to have a second controller plugged in and have that player stand out of the way. When activating switches together, as soon as the second player activates it have them move out of the way. They may inadvertently collect a few credits, but you can collect a lot more that way.

^ yea I did the 2 player right before the exit, make sure player 1 is using rocket boost to get all the gold coins.

Playing with two controllers seems to increase the number of enemies but you'll want to take the time to move player #2 out of the way. This is especially true when the last enemy is attacking him since it makes him likely to scarf up the gold coin.

Credits can be collected in a few different ways:

- There will be a certain amount of credits scattered around in plain site.
- There will be hidden areas with concentrated caches of credits.
- Beaten enemies release credits.
- Breakable objects release credits.
- Scanned interactive objects release credits.

While the first four are pretty obvious, the last one is important to take note of. Why? Because it can double up the credits given from an object. You can scan objects like breakable rocks, walls and plants, and get some credits. And then you can break the same object to get even more credits. It's a double payoff. So my advice is to SCAN EVERYTHING before you interact.

When you finish your first playthrough, you should have between 300,000 and 500,000 credits, depending on how many secrets you found. After searching out the remaining Parts, you may have got up to 500,000 to 650,000 credits. To get from there to the one million mark, you are going to have to do level replays. The best place to grind this one out is Jungle Approach: Zone 1. I found that I could consistently get between 55,000 and 65,000 with each play.

The Method: You should be trying to clear eveything ahead of you as you go: plants, enemies and objects. Scan all objects before you break them, to get the maximum return. Your scanner should be your default Action Part. Make your way to the well area, and clear it out. Next climb up onto the huge log, and use it to get up to the leaves overhead. Use your Rocket Boots to fly along the coin chain back to the start of the level for a load of gold credits. Now head back to the well. Turn down the path, towards the screen and clear out the lower section. Make sure to get the yellow mushrooms on the arched tree roots.

Head back to the well again. Go to the head in the corner, and break its teeth to find the hidden area. Again, scan objects before you mash them. For some reason, the better you clear out the previous areas, the more caterpillars will appear down here. Lay into them. Try to collect as many of the coins they drop as you can. Once finished, scan and break the big yellow mushroom behind the rock, and the rock itself. Lastly, at the top of the ramp, jump left over the tree root, scan and mash.

You should have the guts of 50,000 credits or more by this point. Go back outside and head into the two player area and activate the hatch. Take out the three troops to get some gold. Now just take out the last bunch of troops and make a swift exit. 60,000+ credits is very do-able per run.

Tip from ThEliteOne: After you come out of the Co-Op area, run back to the cave and go in and back out again. All the gaurds around the well will respawn, along with the Co-Op area guards. So you can kill them and get the gold coin bonuses again. You can can make around 10-15000 or so every time. Also, your health also refills every time you enter and exit the cave, so there is never any worry about dying and losing credits. In my opinion, its much faster than exiting the level and coming back every time for 50k. You can rack up the cash without ever leaving.

The trophy will unlock as soon as you hit the million credit mark.

Credits look like bronze, silver or gold coins and can be obtained by killing enemies, destroying objects, simply picking them up in levels and in many other ways, by completing the game you can earn about 200,000-300,000 credits. In total, you need to collect 1,000,000 credits, but you can safely spend the credits - the trophy is cumulative.
One of the best ways to earn credits is to complete level 1, zone 1 as follows:
We start the zone and slowly go through it, collecting credits, without going into the cave we run to the end of the zone, kill all the enemies there - for the last of them they will give 5 gold coins (5,000 credits), we return and clear the cave, we go out and again kill the enemies that appear at the exit, then we just go in and out of the cave, kill enemies and thus get 5,000 credits every 30 seconds. Moreover, if you have already opened an isolated location near the end of the zone (requires 2 players and Nano Trigger), opening a hatch there will cause 3 enemies to jump out, the last of which will give you 10 gold coins (10,000 credits). The hatch can also be opened every time you exit the cave.
Happy boosting)

for a gold credit they give 500 and not 1000! I advise you to use the hint! In chapter 1 in zone 1 you can get infinity of credits, but my advice after collecting 100,000 is to replay the level again

The number of collected coins can be found in the "pause" menu in the trophies section

I advise you to improve "Part Thrower" before starting the boost. You will kill enemies from the first hit on and you won’t need to spam for a long time because when struck with hands, enemies die only on the third strike
