I take no credit for this guide, but I've found it very helpful and have already gotten all Hidden Spiders in the first 3 levels. Big credit to Steve from this site for the amazing guide.

One major thing to keep in mind is that the levels are fairly linear, and you can rarely backtrack. If you miss a hidden spider and move ahead, you most likely won't be able to go back for it so it will require another playthrough of the level.

Hidden Spiders show up in Spider Sense just like emblems, but don't stand out quite as well unless you are closer. This can help identify the few that may be hard to find based on the descriptions in the guide alone. As soon as you pick one up it is collected permanently, even if you die or quit the level.
