Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

Doctor Octopus is a coward, relying on her tech more than her own muscle. In all your encounters with her, you'll meet with her inventions and creations and have to get to her through them.

Final battle is the perfect example. You finally reach her physical self and she encases herself in a forcefield bubble and starts firing a laser beam at you. Or rather the floor. The hexagonal tiled floor is a series of shockplates that activate when hit by the laser.

Avoid the laser's path and the "aftershock" of the plates and find one of the reactor cells powering the field. (Tip: go outwards to tease the laser away from the center where you'll be working before going in for the kill.)

Use B for web pull to unsocket it, at which Doctor Octopus will deploy a second laser in tandem with the first. Avoid both until you find another reactor core. Time the pull by jumping over one laser then immediately going for the core. Web pull that out and you'll have to deal with a third laser beam.

The same timing trick applies. Jump over one laser then immediately for the last core. But you'll have to make sure you stand at least one cell away from the center to avoid the surprise that follows. Once you pull out the last core and the forcefield shuts down, the centermost ring of shockplates will activate and race outward. Standing one cell away will avoid the initial activation and then you can jump over the ring of lighted plates as it passes out.

Though what I recommend is when you jump immediately press B to web strike your way to lady Ock's heart... with your foot! haha This will send her flying out of the little bubble she'd been hiding in and allow some one-on-one time with the maniacal biddie.

Jump over her as Doc Ock races around the area, avoiding the activated shockplates. At intervals she will race back to the center and send out a energy pulse. Keep away from the floor to avoid the wave and web strike her again. Repeating this another two times, I think, will have Doc Ock furious enough to reinitialize her bubblefield and send out her "babies".

Unlike before, you don't have to hit these monstrosities. Doc Ock will helpfully kill them for you as her laser is rather indiscriminate. Just lead the laser as it chases you into the path of the creatures and you'll get the weapon you'll need to finish ol' lady Octopus.

One hit from the laser will disintegrate the creatures and leave behind the explosive orb that powered it. Grab (B) the orb and fling it at Doc Ock to hurt her good. (You can first throw three at other creatures to fulfill the challenge.)

Then dodge her agitated laser sweeps and repeat the process 2-3 more times to put her down for the count, arms and all.

Congrats! You've got the girl! And the fragment!

Update: Fellow TA'er EMPATH1C MIM1C recommends using "accelerated vision to slow down the lasers as you pull those reactor cells" which in the hubbub of the fight, I don't think I tried. So advice, do remember your special powers too and try them out! ;> See if they work for you. :) Good luck!
