Just like Amazing, keep following the same tactics. Plan on making 2 runs through a level on hard. The 1st run through is for your combo rating and Spider Emblem collection, the 2nd run through is for speed. Just like the Amazing achievement, collect as many emblems early on as possible so that if your making good time, you can go for a speed run as well.

The 4 I did in addition to the ones I previously wrote for Amazing were Hammerhead and Juggernaut (which are easy ones to get all 3 platinum medals in one run through), Goblin (which may take a few runs through on the speed side) and Deadpool (not as hard as everyone seems to say).

I can say, speaking from experience that spamming any other combo doesn't work, but spamming heavy attack does for some reason. Only spam it in fights you must fight like you said Mimic, and that should work.

I don't why it works that way either, but Ultimate Spiderman is very tough to get a good combo rating. When this game was all said and done, I actually skipped getting a platinum on the Carnage level due to repeated issues with the combo rating. But I digress.

When fighting in the Deadpool level, only use the heavy attack button (Y) and only use rage against Deadpool himself. The heavy attack is slow, so it'll make it a little more difficult, but for some reason spamming that button and using minimal rage works. Good luck!

I have not had any problem with any Spidey for combo rating, HOWEVER...

I will say that SPAMING the same combo will not net you a 19K+ rating. The combo rating is based on 2 things:
1.) Combo Variety and
2.) Successive hits.

All I do is make certain I don't do the same combo 3 times in a row and get at least a 15+ combo at some point in the level. This gets me a 21K+ combo rating every time.

Also, you don't have to kill everybody. I have actually found that the more single enemies I take on net me a lower rating. Taking out groups gets me a lot more (over 24K on the Scorpion level). Most enemies I leave alone during my speed runs but still get the 19K+ combo rating.

I am actually on the Vulture level now with the every other level in act 1 and 2 done with all plats on hard mode, and so far only 2 levels I have had to do more than once (Kraven for time and Scorpion for symbols).
