Simply crash into a recently closed shortcut. There is a cut off time of around one second where you can still crash into the shortcut and have it count as being wrecked by a rival. You can increase the chances of getting this achievement by playing levels that feature more than one shortcut. Below is a list of all shortcuts. The number in brackets indicates how many shortcuts are available after route changers.
Downtown Central: 0 (0)
Airport Terminal: 0 (1)
Construction Site: 0 (0)
Ferry Wharf: 1 (0)
Port Bridge: 1 (2)
Airplane Graveyard: 2 (2)
Dry Docks: 0 (1)
Expressway: 0 (0)

Canyon: 1 (2)
At first Airplane Graveyard might seem like the obvious choice, but Airplane Graveyard has only two laps whereas Port Bridge and Canyon have three. This means that while you have four potential places to get the achievement in Airplane Graveyard, you have five possible places to get it in Port Bridge and Canyon.

Why is there zero TA points for this? Not even one??? Come on!! This is the only zero achievement I have seen...

There is zero TA points because it is worth 0 gamerscore. 0 x Anything = 0. As for why it is worth zero gamerscore... because some developers just don't get it. Negative achievements shouldn't be worth anything but they shouldn't even be in the game in the first place.

just about every track has a shortcut or two in it, and when they are opened they only stay open for a brief window. there are three achievements associated with them. for this one, you have to show up to a shortcut that a rival has opened just a little bit too late, and wreck on it just after it closes.
