Split/Second

Detonator Events are pre-rigged explosive laps around the track. You are the only driver on the track and so you don't need to worry about your competition. Power plays and the power meter have been removed for this event. The objective is to complete a lap of the track in the fastest possible time. However the course has been rigged and it will proximity detonate when you approach it. It is worth mentioning that not all power plays are actually a threat to you in detonator. Some are done just for show, far before you reach them. Also worth noting is the fact that the track never uses all of the power plays. In some tracks you will find that there are areas of the track where none of the normally available power plays have been rigged. Lastly, they always use the same power plays to keep the times consistent and so after a couple of attempts you should know what is coming and it is all down to how brave you are trying to squeeze through the tiniest of gaps before it closes.
