The Ancient Book sidequest is given by Roger after you save him in Duggus Forest. To start the quest, after you exit the forest head to Surferio to trigger a scene with him (Surferio is West of Peterny). Once the scene ends Roger will have temporarily joined your party and you will have received seven ancient books that give clues as to where the treasure is. Keep in mind, you must finish this sidequest before Roger leaves your party at the end of Disc 1: if you fight Crossel you will have voided the quest. Below is a list of each Treasure and their location:
Ancient Book 1
Location: Rock in Duggus forest left of where Mudman was
Treasure: Health Berries
Ancient Book 2
Location: Kirlsa Caverns, Torch just left of the Hauler control panel
Treasure: Magi Berries
Ancient Book 3
Location: Sealed Cavern, Retail Rabbit Room
Treasure: Intellect Berries
Ancient Book 4
Location: Ancient Ruins of Mosel, B2F stone statue at North of runic chess room
Treasure: Strength Berries
Ancient Book 5
Location: Mountains of Barr, let the dragon hovering in the skeleton area pick you up. When he drops you you'll be in a different area surrounded by tiny little dragons, the treasure is on a skeleton corpse here.
Treasure: Elven Slippers
Ancient Book 6
Location: Abandoned outdoor area of Bequerel Mine, examine the tree in the Northwest area
Treasure: Demonbane Cross
Ancient Book 7
Location: Urssa Lava cave, examine the left torch on the bunny statue with the key behind it
Treasure: Rabbit Ears Chalice
This may seem like a simple task at first glance, but there's something about Ancient Book 4 that makes this trophy a lot harder. That book's location is in the final area of a post game dungeon, meaning you'll have to get through the entirety of this area's dungeon and face the two bosses in order to get to the treasure. This area and its bosses have an average level of 70, but at this point in the game you'll only be at around level 30 in the story. So you're faced with two choices, get some Rings of Erudition and grind to that level: or recruit the necessary inventors early to make Orichalcum's for your team to give them good Attack boosts on their weapons. Both of these methods are not easy, as to do the latter you'll need a good amount of money for Synthesis. Either way you look at it, you'll have to grind for either levels or Fol in order to be ready to get through the ground floors of the Ancient Ruins of Mosel. A good grinding spot would be the Urssa Lava Caves, the monsters here give good EXP and Fol at your level: and if you keep the Bonus Gauge up you can make double Fol and Triple EXP. Once you've obtained all seven treasures, the trophy will unlock.

To get the books you need to first save Rogera in Duggus Forest and later in Surferio agree to his help and he will give you 7 books, the treasures themselves are located:
1)Duggus Forest: in the location where you fought with Mudman, check the stone on the left (Health Berries)
2) Kirlsa Caverns: check the torch next to the gate lever (Magi Berries)
3)Sealed Cavern: the room where the Rabbit is located, check the lower right corner (Intellect Berries)
4) Ancient Ruins of Mosel, B2F: stone statue in the north in the chess room (Strengh Berries), the most difficult book to get, for this you need to go through The Ancient Ruins of Mosel Underground and kill the Spirit Trio, which is quite difficult with the current level, but synthesis will help us, it is advisable for all characters to make such a weapon: 2x +30% ATK (improved Bangle of Accuracy) and 4 times improved Orichalcum, which will give you about 5000 attack in the middle of the game, everything will require about 1-1.2 million Fol, if you have money the trouble is, at least make a weapon for Cliffa and spam Hammer of Might Up to 300% Cancel Bonus, the weapon looks like this:
5)Mountains of Barr after the dragon drags you to a location with a bunch of small dragons, check the skeleton on the ground there (Elven Slippers)
6)Bequerel Mine: when you go outside into the open area there check the tree in the northwest (Demonbane Cross)
7) Urssa Lava Cave: check the torch to the left of the rabbit statue (Rabbit Ears Chalice)
