How to unlock the Vulcan Wisdom achievement in Star Trek: D·A·C - Definitive Guide

Alright, this took me a while to figure out.
I want all my achievements date-stamped, so deleting the title-update and getting this offline was not an option.
It also turns out that using the Kobayashi Maru cheat will not allow you to get this one.

So, how I did it:
-Start a solo match, with one opponent.
-Set the time to max, difficulty on easy.
-Pick a support ship. These are fast and have good shields.
-Hope that the opponent does not pick a fighter. If he does, simply quit and restart.

-Now go back and forth between the two neutral points. The opponent will try to cap for himself, but you are fast enough to get it back.
-After a while, he gives up and just attacks you. Make sure you don't die (pick up those shield boosts). If he is not using a fighter, he drops in and out of the region, so eventually you will capture it.
-That means his base is open. Go there ASAP and work on it. You will not get it the first time, so get out and get the neutral back. Get out quickly, because otherwise you will die.
-Also, don't use the quantum torpedo. I'm not sure, but I assume it counts as firing a weapon.

The old way was to make a conquest game with no opponents. They have since patched the game so this can no longer be done when connected to live. If you do not need the date stamp for the achievement, then you can clear your cashe and get this achievement offline.

If you want to get this 'legit', then follow Wulf684's comments.
1. set up conquest match with 1 opponent on easy
2. Pick the support ship
3. Immediately use the cheat 'LT,Y,X,X,Y,RT' once in the match (I think this allows the shields to regenerate faster)
4. My opponent happened to be the fighter, but still did not matter. You will literally 'Sumo-wrestle' with the opponent to the edge of the ring, once there you will capture the point. Even though he non-stop fires at you, your shields will regenerate faster than his shots make you loose them.
5. Remember, when capturing the enemies base, if you are in the circle when the oppoent captures one of the neutral zone spots, his base will get 'locked' and if you are in it you will die. Pay close attention to the capture circles, and go out before it gets locked. Go back and Sumo-wrestle again, and then repeat. I had to do this 3 times before I captured his base.

Works like a charm.
