How to unlock the Legend achievement in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Definitive Guide

This achievement actually appears to be cumulative.
My first playthrough, on the final level, as I was fighting the final boss, I got the 500,000 achivement. I then beat the game and chose continue on the main menu. I went to mission select and chose the final stage again to get the other ending. Then, while fighting the enemies in the first room before dropping down to the big green laser thing, "Legend" popped up. Apparently it carried over all the points I got from the last time I was in the level.

If you have the Jedi Temple DLC you can kill bots in the padawan training room for lots of points. They are infinite until you destroy the statue-like things so just keep going until the achievement pops. The padawan training room is only about 10 minutes into the first level so you can start grinding right away (it's the big round room where all the training droids attack you, to the right behind the big door as you enter the great hall).

This is a good way to grind out force power achievements, too.

Choose the first level in the game (sorry can not remember name) the one straight AFTER the prologue. When you get to the part in which you must open the hangar door using force to continue, instead of opening the door, pick up the unlimited energy sith holocron and go nuts with force lighting, you should kill about 40 enemies by the time they stop spawning. Here is the important part, >>LEAVE A FEW ENEMIES ALIVE<< once you have killed most of the enemies let the remaining few kill you, you will be taken back to the last checkpoint and you points will have stayed the same, repeat the process until you get to 600,000, you get 20-30 thousand points every time using the process so it shouldn't take you to long.

You just got to repeat any level a bunch. Preferrably after you become a Rebel in the story. Same for the 500K achievement.

You gain force points by killing enemies with force powers and combos. Frenzies and varying your force power use will increase the bonuses for the amount of force points earned. For these achievements I recommend doing the TIE Factory because it’s quick and the enemies are easy. It took me only two full playthroughs on apprentice (including collecting Holocrons) to get this achievement. It’s best to do this after you beat the game since your character will be much more powerful. Also there are several areas of the level that have a lot of enemies which will allow you to get frenzy bonuses.

This is actually an incredibly easy trophy to obtain. The reason is that your points accumulate from multiple runs through the same mission and you don’t loose points when you die. So, just pick your favorite level and play it over and over on Apprentice difficulty doing nice combos and special moves. The trophy will probably unlock after you second play-through. Or, if you’re lucky like me, you’ll get this after the last level, without even trying.
