This is an unmissable story mission when you're trying to find the next artifact after completing the In Their Footsteps story mission.
You'll be given the Final Glimpses story mission and requires you to do go find two other artifacts. On your way to Freya III you'll get a distress beacon from a satellite above the planet. Simply scan the planet and land at the research area.
Sci-fi shenanigan's ensues and eventually you come to the missions' climax and have choices to make!

There is a slight RNG aspect to this. When it came to Step 4, I had a different combination of switches to disengage. But it's easy to read off the monitor when you're trying to degauss the system.

I tried using the written guide and it did not work for me. I followed it step by step changing the inputs that the game gave me. I was only able to save Patel's universe.
