How to unlock the Executive Level achievement in Starfield - Definitive Guide

I recommend having at least 1 point in these skills (THEFT, STEALTH, SECURITY) if you want to carry out missions without being seen, these points are mandatory. I also recommend the mantis set, at least the helmet.

I also recommend always having a save before starting a whole line of missions and doing them all in sequence to avoid bugs and always having a save in the previous mission

This is the last mission for the faction Ryujin Industries. There are 13 missions for this faction. You’ll also get the ‘Back to the Grind’ achievement for joining Ryujin Industries. Along with ‘Guilty Parties’ achievement which is mission 10 in this series.

To join Ryujin Industries you’ll need to apply for a job at a kiosk, I’m not certain but I don’t think it matters what answers you give in this (based from watching a video vs my playthrough).

Once done you’ll need meet Imogene Salzo for an interview in the Rjujin Tower on Neon, found on Volii Alpha, which is part of the Volii system.

I don’t think the answers in the interview with Imogene, determine whether or not you get the job at Ryujin Industries.

Post Nov. 2023 Update -

In case this is helpful to others, I can confirm that the update will not reveal David Barron, in your current (initial?) life. You must go to NG+.

I uninstalled and completely reinstalled the game with the update and rebooted. I had saves: 1) right before starting Sabotage, and 2) before even applying for a job at Ryujin. I reloaded them and completed both. David Barron did not appear in either playthrough (still outside the map).

It did (finally) work after 3) I went to NG+, re-applied for a job and completed Sabotage. **My game bugged again at the last scene in Sabotage where you meet with the board and everyone votes. It wouldn't let me sit at the table and the game froze. Luckily I had a save just before that. I reloaded that save, traveled to a planet I'd never been to, sat for 48 hours and then returned to the board room and it worked.**

Pro-Tip: I had read on Reddit that after completing the coffee mission (1st one) that you can travel to SSNN. If David Barron is there you can have confidence that it will work. This was also my experience. He was not there in #1 and #2, but was there for #3.

Just a tip for anybody about to do the sabotage mission, leave your companion behind, they go into goblin mode and trip the alarm all the time.

Yeah you should also leave your companion behind when you have to break into Ryujin or give them an em weapon if not they go sicko mode on the guards and the head of security gets a little pissy and your companion also gets mad even though they were the one that killed everyone not me.

Currently bugged for me, Cant deliver evidence to David Barron. My quest marker has him miles out of the map.

In case people are concerned about companions reacting badly to completing this a certain way don't take any with you and afterwards just agree with them and say you regret the decision. I even got Sarah to like two of my responses with her afterwards doing such.

Just popped this in NG+, started out by immediately going to SSNN and checking that Barron was there. Then went to the RI kiosk to apply for the job

I then completed the first mission, went back to SSNN to see if he was still there (he was) and made a new save. I then done this after completing each RI mission and he was there every time. Finally got to the Sabotage mission and it went without fault. Finally completed Executive Level and achievement popped

Patch just got released today (1.7.33) which notes "Characters: Fixed an issue that could cause some characters to not be in their proper location"

I still have my save from before i completed the Sabotage mission so will check if it has been fixed or not

EDIT: just completed the Sabotage mission and for me, Barron is still out in the middle of nowhere. Might be different if you've not yet reached the Sabotage mission yet but for those that have, seems this patch isn't a fix

Can confirm the bug with David Barron in Sabotage is still prevalent as of 21Oct2023, currently unable to 100% the Ryujin quests because of it

Broken for me as well, so locked out of two achievements. Still, in the words of Todd Howard, it just works.

The patch notes for the upcoming 1.8.83 update mention the issue of not being able to find David Barron, so hopefully it's fixed soon.

March 24 update fixed David Barron for me. I did have a save just before exiting whatever building it is that had never worked before, but this time when exiting David was in the building across the street, where he should be.

Barron is now there for me, but I can't talk to him. anyone else having that issue?

Edit: If anyone else is having this issue, I found an answer on Reddit. It apparently was because Sarah was stuck as my companion even though she was dead. The post said They could make Vasco follow them to replace her but it didn't work, so I tried random companions. Barrett ended up having a side mission, so when I talked to him it overrode Sarah, put him as my companion and let me talk to Barron finally.

Hello guys and gals, I was having the same glitch as everyone else on the mission Sabotage

Firstly I got all the other 48 achievements out the way before completing the last mission and going to NG+

After starting NG+ and landing at The Lodge and skipping dialogue, I walked right over to the RI Terminal and signed up for the job

Pretty much skipped through all the missions in about 2 hours ish and have just currently got back to the Sabotage mission

I can confirm that this time around David Barron was actually in the SSNN office, so for anyone having trouble with this achievement, save it for the last achievement and complete it in NG+

Hope this helps anyone who needs it :)

I've encountered an interesting bug that I think is tied to doing the Freestar Collective story line before this one.

Mission "managing assets" is glitched as of 06/07/2024. Ran it on my original playthrough, ran it on my NG+ playthrough and made a separate playthrough. All glitch at this specific part where we have to deal with the operative.

Of all the faction storylines in Starfield, the Ryujin Industries one is perhaps one of the more interesting. While you’re fighting the good fight when you’re part of the UC Vanguard and the Freestar Rangers, and blending in as evil scum when joining the Crimson Fleet, the Ryujin Industries faction questline is all about the shades of grey.

As is the case for all the other factions, the Ryujin Industries faction storyline also has 3 achievements. You’ll get Back to the Grind (10G) for starting the faction; Guilty Parties (10G) for completing one of the latter quests; and this here achievement for completing the last quest, “Executive Level.”

There are a whopping 13 missions in the Ryujin Industries questline - more than any other faction - and they are as follows:
  • Back to the Grind
  • One Step Ahead
  • A New Narrative
  • Access is Key
  • Sowing Discord
  • Accidents Happen
  • Maintaining the Edge
  • Top Secrets
  • Background Checks
  • Guilty Parties
  • The Key Ingredient
  • Sabotage
  • Executive Level
If you’ve not started the Ryujin Industries faction and really want to get involved (you totally should), then check out our Starfield - How to join the Ryujin Industries faction guide for more assistance.
