How to unlock the Thank You! Thank You! achievement in Super Hang-On - Definitive Guide

Use the expert track. Just before the 1st checkpoint, there will be a sign on the right side. Just drive into it and it will easy send your driver airborne through the checkpoint.

This will come naturally as you play or you can make it happen by running your bike into something on the side right as a checkpoint comes up. You're thrown forward when you crash so if you hit it right you'll be thrown across the checkpoint. If you use the Expert track there is a sign to the right of the first checkpoint. It's RIGHT before it. Crash into it and it'll throw you through. You don't even have to be accelerating when you hit it.
