Easier than it sounds for newcomers - there are only two sandworms in the entire level.

You can spot where the sandworms will show up by the patch of yellow dirt. Both are in the later half of the level. There are three large hills in the level - the first worm is found on top of the second hill, the second worm is found just after the third hill. Keep to the left once you spot them, get a tiny bit closer to trigger their rise and blast them to bits.

If you came here to check how to beat the Dune Sea level at all, you're probably stuck at the boss, since the rest of the level is just keep walking on to the right and shooting everything that stands in your way. The trick with the Sarlacc Pitt Monster is that he will rise up wherever you were standing, so keep moving from side to side. When he is about to rise (one arm will rise first as a hint), quickly run/jump to the other side and keep blasting at the sarlacc until he goes down again. Rinse and repeat until his health bar is empty. Should be no trouble on the easy difficulty if you play it this way.
