How to unlock the Fashion Plate achievement in Super Street Fighter IV - Definitive Guide

This is a tedious achievement but I found a relatively quick solution on youtube. The idea is to go into versus. Select Player vs. CPU and start up the match with any settings. Pick what character you need taunts/colors for and chose a character to fight against. Once the match is started, immediately hit start and go to the character select, you should have a new taunt or color. Rinse and repeat, you normally get a taunt then color and then taunt then color etc. EVENTUALLY you'll get all of them.OR: just playing with every character will unlock their taunts and colors if you're trying to be legit, but then you wouldn't be on this site looking for quick solutions ;) Video made by paulietheboss NOT me.
EDIT: Just so there's no confusion, you should have 10 taunts/colors for each character once you're done... but you'll have an 11th and 12th if you have an original SSF4 save file.

@Hurricane Slim3
I believe there are 10 colors for each character and taunts. There is 2 extra colors you get if you have previously saved Street Fighter IV data.

If you intend to go for the All Clear achievement (beat Medium with every character), you can knock a good chunk of these out. Every time you lose and re-pick your character to continue (or any other character for that matter), you'll unlock another color/taunt.

I'd recommend Ish Agisaka's method if you don't intend to play with every character (like if you can't stand Balrog) or if you just need to snatch up the last few colors/taunts for a character you don't often use.

The method works fine, but say it takes 3 min to start & quit almost 20 times per char. 3 min by 35 characters, that's over an hour spent getting the achievement "fast" but not really playing when it would just come naturally through playing.

My Video I made on how to get this achievement as well as tips on getting Rival Schooled, Dan the Man and All Clear

The tutorial is more of a Tips Video than an outright "Here's what you do Video"

There are a few methods to speed up the process

1. Is to start an arcade match and quit this is a fairly quick method but the time it takes for the game to load the main menu then load the select screen and start the match can add up to a lot of time lost.
2. (My suggestion) You go to Versus Mode then player vs player set the rounds to 30 seconds, make sure after the match you DO NOT hit rematch as it won't count as a second round instead choose select character after the match has finished and just reselect the same character. It may not save you a whole lot of time but it will save you enough.

I also suggest you go to your character select and find out how many times you've used each character...you only need to use a character 17 times to unlock both their taunts and their colors....no need to play a character any more than needed if your only going for the achievement....

A long drawn out method but it worked for me, it took me around 5 1/2 hours to do this from having none of the colours unlocked for any of the characters as my data was accidently deleted.

Go into versus against Easiest CPU, then when you have chosen your character set the CPU character handicap to zero so when the round starts it'll only take one hit to KO them.

Then just return to the Character Select Screen and rinse and repeat 17 times for each character (2 Colours & 1 Taunt are already unlocked by default)

There are 10 colors and taunts for each fighter (11 or 12 if you have an original SSF4 save file). The fastest way to get this is to start a match with the CPU and once the match begins, pause the game and choose "Character Change." Once you're back at the Character Select screen, you should have unlocked either a taunt or a color (it changes between the two). Repeat this for the character and move to the next. With about 30+ characters for the base game, this can take some time to complete so you may want to have a movie/series on in the background.

Here's a video to better show how it's done.

For this trophy you must obtain all of colors for each character. Colors are given to you for the amount of times you start a match as that character, once you start you can back out of a match and it still counts as a match played with that character. You need a minimum of 17 plays with each character, you can check the amount played through "Player Data" in the main menu and go to "Character Records", select any character you want to view the amount of times you played as them to see how much more you have to do. This will probably be earned naturally while trying to earn "From C to Shining C" however if you are impatient you can follow this method:

New colors are unlocked when you play a character (select it from the list). In order to open all 10 colors, you need to select a character 16 times. To get the trophy, you need to do this for all 35 fighters. If you have a save from a previous street fighter, 2 more colors will open, but they do not affect the trophy.

Just wait until the match starts and go to the CHARACTER CHANGE menu. You will immediately unlock a new color or a new taunt alternately.
