This is a missable achievement.

Not long after leaving the Monastery with Hans, you'll have to recruit the youki (the dog-like companion), which is located in the wood-fenced area belonging to Ivan and Igor (who will both be elsewhere at this time). You would have been in this location previously to have obtained the jerry oil can. Whilst here, if you go into the hut area where Igor was sitting on your first visit, you'll find a wooden table that has a newspaper on it. Obtaining that newspaper will pop this achievement, since it reports on news regarding Helena Romanski.

If you're going for the 'Snoop' achievement - thus collecting all items (i.e., the newspaper) - you'll pop this 'Memory from Aralbad' achievement anyway.
